JesuEruOluwa:isn't shameful dat u accuse the church of not helping the needy (and dey do) cos u want proof but at d same time u are declaring dat you tithe against poverty but can show us a proof (same thing u accuse the church of).. Dats d definition of hypocrisy |

How do u know dey are corrupt Pls bro i dont go against pastors bt i don't take bullshit either! Pastor shud be respected bt they shud be honorable men also. U say these pastors have their personal businesses? Which one of these pastor can say they dont use church fund and i mean ur tithe to buy cars, houses, etc? I hv seen this live cos ive worked closely with a church body b4 and my parents also. All u hear is leave it for God to judge even wen its clearly wrong. Can any pastor declare his assets? Bro these men are humanbeings none is a spirit or angel dat fell from the sky sm may be honorable bt alot have fallen for manmon thinking they are still in d faith. Then how subsidised are the skols pls tell me? How many scholarships a year do dey give? Wat benefits do dey hv for less privileged ones? Even circular govts in sane countries even Brazil think of how to make their best universities available to those who can't afford by reserving 50% of its admission every year for less privileged ppeople how much more the Church. 1 Like |

erico2k2:u just reiterated my point. Only few members in the church are faithful in tithing.. And u know wat, God rewards faithfulness. If its not been working, ppl will av long stopped paying it. |

salvation101: There are people in Olumba Olumba obu, do you think they won't have stopped if the are not blessed? Most people that produce what you use are not Christians and don't tithe. They are far better than you the tithe consumer times 1,000 . Go to Japan, China, Korea, USA, India, etc and you will see them. God is using them to bless your life and make things easy for you and that is why you give testimonies in church. How many people around you have you blessed? 1. Have you really given anything to Christ(God) yourself according to Mt 25:34-46? Matthew 25:35-37 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.' Or are you going to be among those that will ask, ''when did we see you thirsty....and did not minister to you? Tithe payers have abandoned the love for neighbour because they think they are giving to God. TAP is freeze trying to let you guys know you are missing it. |

Segeshow: Going by your analogy, religious beliefs are mainly hocus pocus. You may be right, but in the same vein how can the gratitude of the poor be a source of blessing to anyone? Does their gratitude magically double your account in the bank or what? If you dont believe in religious voodoo, I'm surprised you believe giving to the poor can bring blessings. If you preach being charitable makes you feel good, perhaps even gives some a sense of purpose, yes you may be right. But to attach it to some blessings is same as what you've just stood against- tithes being a source of blessings. |

salvation101:its not stinginess. Its conviction. It shows in our everyday life especially in d way we complain about our political leaders yet we do nothing about it |

jaxxy:why do u decide to remain in dat same church? One of the proof of the presence of God in the church is love. Tithing or giving to God does not stop u from helping ur neighbor... I can tell u with boldness dat in d church i attend, if a member is in problem, the church members rally round to solve it. I know ppl dat were sponsored tru the university by the church.. Wont mention name of any church though but if there is a fake out there, itsa proofdat the real one is precious |

jaxxy:u r absolutely correct. It should be about conviction and not force and same with giving.. But do we av to dismiss it just because we aren't yet convinced? D right approach is to not pay until u are truly convinced to. |

Afrokan:No sir...God hasn't forsaken us.... We have forsaken his word....most Nigerians want to b rich without lifting a pin! God said in Hosea that my people perish for lack of knowledge.....and dat he will prosper the hands of the diligent! While countries like Japan where busy rebuilding and taking technology to another level,Nigerians were busy praying and asking God for a sign.... While China and most Asian giants were working hard, and making their population an asset, most Nigerians were some where praying to receive the same wealth that God has already provided for us! While other advanced countries were busy establishing companies that will boost the economy of their nation, most Nigerians were busy building crusade centres and heaping their problems at the door steps of witches and siblings! Most Nigerians fail to use their head....dats why when their business stops progressing, instead of finding out where the company needs improvement or alterations, they quickly blame their village people for sending evil missiles at deir business! What a pity! 3 Likes |

why would I waste my time joining a movement when I know I have been helping the less privilege ones for decades now even before daddy freeze open the topic on pastor and tithing....the truth is that Nigerians don't have money again, only a few has it in abundance are are scared to bring it out so as to help the poor ones..,if you show that you are wealthy in nigeria, then know that the EFCC , SARS or DSS may come for you, even your friends or neighbours can grow envy of you and kasala go burst! |

lexy2014:conviction as to not paying in church is understandable. But it seems dey are also convinced dat dey are supposed to give dat same percentage to d poor but how many of dem are doing it? The TAP challenge is about using ur 10% to help ppl as opposed to giving it to the church |

salvation101: Who said im in same church? I walked out of the church with people wondering wat got me offended and i didnt give damn about it and it was the church my family basically grew up in. I was basically a rebel. Most churches u cant ask questions and get valid answers cos most play eye service and others love or are used to the routines. Im tired of all that. The Attitude of a church is a big deal for me it doesn't exactly hv to be perfect. |

erico2k2:i wouldn't call dem hypocrites for not paying especially if dey really desire to but do not av enough faith yet to remove 10% cos as humans we are tempted to believe its our income dat sustain us. One can be earning 200k as salary in a month and not av enough faith to pay 20k but another may be earning 10k and still has enough faith to remove 1k per month. The ppl i will call hypocrites are those dat condemn the faithful tithers just to feel good about demselves |

salvation101: Oh so the pastors don't enrich themselves from tithe and offering? Where does their wealth come from then?? They will dip their hands into money meant for the church, enrich themselves and say that it is God blessing them. Politicians steal money from country's coffers, the money in the coffers come from the sweat and blood of hardworking Nigerians. Pastors enrich themselves from tithe deceitful derived from the sweat and blood of hardworking Nigerians. What's the difference between the two? 1 Like |

jaxxy:yeah. U did d right thing by leaving. When there is no love there is no church. Even if its a gathering of just 20 members, as long as there is love and brotherhood, dey will expand in number in a very short time. Its not all about preaching the word, the practicality of it matters most |

Why is it that this issue of tithing refused to go down? Every time you must see some hypocrite in the name of pastor and christian come out to argue about tithe. Can you fight for God?Is tithing only the way of salvation?Shame on you people. I suspect foul play.Something is fishy in this matter. Everyday tithe, tithe, tight.Enough is enough, you people should go and sit down. Lazy and wretched folks this days wants to become pastors just because of tithe. Any person who wants to pay tithe to the church should go ahead and those who want to give theirs to the poor and needy should do so. Stop clamoring for tithe and instead preach for salvation and how to win souls. |

erico2k2:Jews no more tithe ever since their temple got destroyed in 70AD and right now a mosque is standing on d exact spot the temple is standing. Until the temple is built back, the Jews won't be able to tithe.. It goes to iterate wat Apostle Paul said.. We (gentiles) av been grafted in and all the blessings that belonged to the jews are now ours tru Jesus Christ(till after the rapture when the church age would end) |

Next2Bezee:why do u assume that pastors are enriching themselves? Is it about tge church buildings? Or the private jets? Where dey bought in the church name or pastors name? If d pastor should pass on would those things belong to his family or the church? The church is a very big organization, if the church decides dat the most senior pastor should be bought a private jet, for the ease of the work of ministry is there anything wrong in dat knowing fully well that the Number one mandate Christ gave the church is to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature |
