Valid point but it must be balanced with the need to encourage others to do likewise charitable good works.
Hopefully our TAX codes have allowance for deducting donations to registered charities that are regularly AUDITED by the government.

If you need some sort of motivation or encouragement to give then you don't really have a heart of giving yet, they're people that spend their wealth and not just 10% on helping others, you don't need to attach any theme to it.
