I wouldn't be pleased! A house is the largest single investment / purchase you'll ever make. If my wife could actually get a loan secured on the home we both live in, and purchase another property in a different country without my knowledge, I'd question how well I actually know her.

Well, I don't think any spouse should purchase property or investment without the other spouse knowledge because if something was to happen and the spouse does not pay, the court can come after the other spouse.  Marriage is a partnership and BOTH PARTIES SHOULD BE THE DECIDER and the DISCUSSER.  It affects the both of you.  I wouldn't divorce my fiance, but I will make him pay in another way, WHAT YOU THINK THAT IS?  WINKS!

A woman that does is a potential ASSASIN. WHAAAAT? That means I`ve been sleeping with a human poison all along. While I may not divorce her, things will not be the same again. I will probably relocate eslwhere while I contest it in the law court to prove that the deal was sealed without my consent, I may even sue for damages.

it all depends on WHO PAID FOR THE HOUSE?!

- if she paid for it fully then she has all the rights to do whatever she wants with it even if we live together there. although, the fact that she doesnt tell you that she is doing it would say a lot about the kind of relationship you guys are having.

- if the house belongs to the both of us (we paid the mortgage equally) then she has an obligation to let you know, unless she was planning something fishy on you! there too, it would say a lot about the kind of relationship you guys have.

- if the house is mine, it would be impossible for her to take a loan and putting MY assets as collateral, EVEN IF WE WERE MARRIED!

if people cant be straight to each other in marriage then they have no business being married at the first place.
