Dr Alkali who is also a Fulani man, is a highly cerebral specialist (a neurologist) that is always on point and never afraid to air his view on state of the nation. I was once his house officer at ATBUTH Bauchi.

This Fulani's are the real terrorists terrorising NIGERIANS.

I hate their antics. Do they think that Nigeria is still in the stone age?

Fulani's are very sick and need a brutal cure...

I have been on Nairaland for close to 10 years. But this is the most sensible and sincere post from my fellow northern brother. The northern elites are the biggest problem of the north. They have decided that the poor must just depend on them. No part of this country has "the stinkingly rich few" like the North. Painfully, poverty is not decreasing here. What is wrong with ranching? I'll tell you.
1. Ranching "will increase expenses" for the affluent whose cows are being ranched (in reality, it won't).
2. The very intelligent Fulani's (believe me, they are) will have formal education, medicare and exposure, which will make the elites less happy. Why, you may ask? Because, they may compete with their Children or decedants over time.
For these reasons, the elites will continue to sacrifice the poor and uninformed masses, to their advantage. God will judge them.
Have you ever wondered why Buhari's daughters married in to the Indimi's family (& the other, a serving Governor?) Same case with Yar'adua's (his soul rest in peace) daughter?
Before I rest my case, I must encourage the young, enlightened northern youths to speak up, else their generation will remain slaves to these blood-sucking-for-wealth elites. #myonekobo

Why are the Fulani's free to work with cutlass even into public places, I see them in Abuja alot and without their cows and no security agencies do ask or arrest them? Please don't try n carry cutlass in Abuja if you're not a Fulani person.

The most reasonable write up I have read on the fulani herdsmen predicament.

Actually their worst enemies are the called owners who send these peasants out to cater for their cattle instead of encouraging the use of ranches.

This has gone on for decades now.

THIS IS WHAT HE SAID AND IT PROBABLY IS THE TRUTH AND YOU KNOW IT.

Why can't you give them portion of lands for ranching than walking length and breadth of the country destroying farms.

Or better still, you don't want them to be educated like you so you can continue to use them to play the game of politics to the advantage of the minority elite of the north.

I am saying there is an opposition to this by various states already.
Not in the core north where they have their kith and kin . there is no opposition to it there and they have enough land there. They should go and use it

Of course.

There's vast land in the north.
Do your herding there.

No rightfully thinking person should give you an inch of land even if you offer billions.
There present and future generations are priceless. Murdering venomous blood spilling vampires.

In fact the south hdon't need your cows.
We boycott it.
We have better healthier options.
Cow meat is poisonous to the human systems.
So there.

Agreed, they need to modernise at the same time the request for allocation of Ranching Land is being rejected across the country .

It is a crazy idea to allocate a land to Fulani?

When will the government start allocating land to pig and catfish farmers?

It's funny how the so called fulani face group myeti alah or what are they called can speak English, attend interviews , issue threat in English language but the majority of the people they profess to be fighting for are nomads and pure illiterate who roam around in despair and face wildlife in the wilderness wearing tattered clothes with a f**k face and hungry stomach working like slaves when slave trade has been abolished for long(dint mention Libya pls) ..it so sad

I can recall few weeks back a pregnant fulani woman I bought "wara" from begged me for food she couldn't resist the hunger any longer she has to voice out even if I don't understand her language she gesticulate, I was moved with pity, believe u me she waited for about 2hrs for the meal to be ready.. She was looking too tired, probably worked out due to much trekking...now I wonder how the male fulani would be if the female look that pitiful. That fulani woman offered me wara" for free cos of my kind gesture altho I objected but I felt that kindness In her... I give that to her

Now those killer herdsmen are either motivated by a higher force or by genuine urge for usurping and claiming territory for their advantages. ( Which ever it is)something need be done urgently to curb this menace. The government of the day must stop the indifference to the plight of the victims . That is genocide

don't you have lands in your region? must you leave the north to another state to rear cattle? and if you must rear in other states, why must you be asking for free land, don't you make money from the sales of the cows?

i thought the igbos are good business man and takes opportunities on all kind of trade ans business. since the funali are leggy behind.

selling contaminated grazing animals that feeds on bacterial that doesn't meet healthy standard.

cattle farming is a big business. in the USA cattle are taking to slaughter houses after 3years with massive flash.

well taking care of with access to clean water and feeds that meet up with health standard. why the igbo can not owned up ranches to over take this people over the years, i still don't understand.
ranching is coming up gradually in the east especially in Anambra and Enugu, it would take time due to cultural factors, most southerners don't know anything about cattle keeping.

The Fulani elites would rather have illiterate militias herding cows than educated fulanis ranching .these class and caste system is so ingrained and it will become the undoing, the hordes of 5year Old almajiris who become the Boko Haram of tomorrow. The fleeing herder of today becomes the cattle rustler of tommorow, all due to serfdom and alangorism.

Sometimes I wonder why it is so difficult for these herder's to embrace the modern method of cattle rearing instead of wondering about the whole country destroying farmlands which in turn results to unnecessary clash.
This herdsmen issue can only be solved by a serious government who Will put its feet on the ground and say enough is enough. If you don't won a ranch, then you are not allowed to rear cows. But this present administration has proven beyond reasonable doubt that they are not different from the nomadic herders themselves.

The herders cannot make the decision to embrace modern methods of cattle rearing because most of them are just employees working on behalf of our billionaires comprising of Fulanis, Hausa's and some southerners!

The cattle owners are the ones that have to embrace ranching but I guess they are afraid of the possible increase in their cost of operations.

see how healthy and fat the cows are. but the Fulani herdsmen must trek from north to south, to east to west with cows. They be looking sick like skeletons with their cows. I don't just know how any reasonable human being would love to suffer and be so comfortable with it.

We have been living in peace together for year before some certain elements introduced an outdated agenda. I tell you, no farmer will ever carry out an attack without a cause. The Fulani's herdsman destroys farmland that a peasant family toil all day to sow, how can you then herds some cattle to destroy them. They should stop playing the victim card. Farmers don't attack

they are trekking down south because the love to suffer. they are daft and uneducated. They'll allow their evil elites to use them like animals while the proceeds from the cows are used to lavish and send their children abroad to live the best lives. The Fulani herdsmen can never use their brain to sit down for once and think about how useless and miserable their elites have made them become.

Can you trekk from north to west, east or south with cows? Will you pray that any of your close relatives do that kinda dirty and senseless job?
