Chief James Onanefe Ibori, the former Governor of oil rich Delta State, Southern Nigeria made his first social appearance on Thursday December 21, 2017 at the wedding reception of NEYA, first child of Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, first civilian governor of Abia state and ex-colleague of Ibori. It was exactly 11 months after his return from a London jail house where Ibori just finished a 13 years jail term over embezzlement of Delta State's funds to the tune of $250 million in his 8 years rule as the state's Governor. Ibori's jail term was concurrently.

Six years later, he returned to a rousing community of town's men and political fans in his home town of Oghara, Delta State.
But when Ibori stormed the Oriental Hotel, Lagos reception of NEYA with his long time friend Mr.Terry Waya, it was a galore of respect and solidarity thrown at Ibori by a community of Nigerian elites led by Ibori's ex-friend and President of the senate of Nigeria, Dr. Bukola Saraki.
