What we get when we allow nepotism and sentiment to blind our sense of reasoning.

EFCC is just being made to look foolish in their desperate effort to satisfy Buahri's inordinate lust for vengeance.
so money is not missing? If we should believe her bullcrap, then the former president is also culpable. No way he doesn't know the money was not used for what it was meant for. Lastly, when does Nigeria govt follows due process?

PS. I care less abt Buhari for he's also a failure but this woman should be made to answer for all her stealing and the stealing she assisted others with.

I really pity characters like you. See, it is not compulsory to comment if you don't understand the subject of discussion. Which section of the constitution gave the president the power to withdraw money from NNPC and spend on security without appropriation? What's wrong with extremely ignorant folks like you? If you have as low as a quarter IQ, you will see that Deziani simply roped Jonathan into the matter. She's telling EFCC indirectly to go and hold Jonathan and leave her alone as he's the one that authorized the illegal transaction.

What she said up there can't be disputed in any way by the EFCC, but trust Nigerians to allow sentiments take over their reasoning thereby seeing facts and denying same.

Can you tell me the section of the constitution that gives the president the powers to order withdrawal of huge money from a corporation like NNPC and spend same on security without national assembly's appropriation?

Which part of the constitution allows NNPC to pay subsidies without appropriation?

Grow up.

NNPC did not pay subsidy to any company or agency the way PPPRA did under Jonathan. The current subsidy is an implicit cost that is charged as part of NNPC operational cost. And yes, the NNPC act (not the constitution) gives the corporation the power to deduct all their operational cost from revenue before remitting the balance to the federation account.

So tell me, which section of the constitution gave Jonathan as president the power to withdraw funds from NNPC's account for national security without national assembly's appropriation? Which law even gives the president the powers to withdraw revenues directly from a revenue generating agency without passing through the federation account?

PPPRA never paid subsidy at any point in our history, the ministry of finance does. Operational cost does not include augmenting shortfalls in landing cost of finished products, that purely involves the process of extraction and refining and not on imported finished products that is being distributed to marketers for retail to consumers, that aspect of subsidising is belongs to the ministry finance through appropriation.

And the statement said section five (5) of the constitution, go back and read again.

And please show me the aspect of NNPC act that empowers them to deduct subsidies as operational cost.

Ministry of finance, through the office of the Accountant general only pays what PPPRA passes to it after verification. OAGF is just like the cashier that disburses cash, PPPRA is the actual agency in charge of subsidy payment.

NNPC act is available online, download and read. Still waiting for you to show me the section of the constitution that you and Deziani claims gives a president the power to withdraw funds from NNPC for security purpose.

EFCC do not need to dispute her claims verbally , they just need to implement professional financial investigation and audit.

Who signed and approved what,

where is the memo and letter used to approve such payments are they correctly signed following legal process and constitutional procedures.

-Is the letter doctored or fake ?

They need to investigate all parties inviting them for an interview

They shld keep off the pages of newspapers, the EFCC communications officer shld handle the agency with more seriousness and bring a could of intrigue into the unit

Low level yahoo boys and civil cases shld be left to the a newly established and adequately trained digital fraud unit of the NPF

Work with icpc and DSS better, DSS chief shld not be more powerful than the interior minister

Now, this is how to go about this issue, and not always running to the media to raise sentiments... it's simple

You said PPPRA pays subsidy and again you are saying they do verification for AFoF to pay after ministry of finanace has released, you are trying to confuse yourself.

5. (1) Subject to the provisions of this Constitution, the executive powers of the Federation:

(a) shall be vested in the President and may subject as aforesaid and to the provisions of any law made by the National Assembly, be exercised by him either directly or through the Vice-President and Ministers of the Government of the Federation or officers in the public service of the Federation; and

(b) shall extend to the execution and maintenance of this Constitution, all laws made by the National Assembly and to all matters with respect to which the National Assembly has, for the time being, power to make laws.

Above is section 5 of the 1999 constitution, show me where it gave Jonathan the power to withdraw money from NNPC and spend without appropriation.

As regards PPPRA, if you don't understand how government agencies operate and you still intend to wallow in your ignorance, then I really can't help you.

Government agencies do not operate in secrecy and there is nothing concealed about their activities.

One breath you said PPPRA pays subsidies, another breath you are saying ministry of finance pays through the office of the accountant general after PPPRA approvals. You are obviuosly trying to confuse the gullible with your ignorance.

Section 5 clearly allows the minister to act on behalf of the president with his approval and she did that, why is EFCC not questioning the ex president if he granted such approval for those funds to be disbursed to security agencies as part of his security vote?

It has been very clear from the beginning that the Buhari led administration lacks cognitive abilities to appreciate proper governmental sequences. And they are appearing more these days to be on vendetta. Hopefully the ground will become level soon and we shall know the truth.
