Who is overrated? is there anyone that you have seen that plays football better? Not scoring goals alone. I mean to play soccer.

The issues should be looked at holistically rather than been considered from the peripheries: the kind of pressures African players face from the overseas fans and management is what mostly weigh many down psychologically, African is not the only continent that lie about age, South American equally do but it will take an African player a double of an effort any player from Euro or South American expend to acquire the same feat of glory.

Chinedu obasi played active football for years he was just injury prone, and Daniel akpeyi is not a member of that team in 2005,so you probably don't know what you are saying, not surprised, and mind you taye Taiwo played good straight 6 years at marseille and even captained them,if you don't know fact it's good you keep shut,Wikipedia is your answer, over and out
What is 6 years in Football career? Talk about 10-15 years.

Meanwhile king CR7 was already tearing defences and scoring goals. So it's funny to hear mumu barca fans say messi made ronaldo "good"

Nonsense!!! angry angry

Messi did not made him (cr7) good but Messi made cr7 a better player, my reason without the stiff competition between the two cr7 would have wanned away. Remember Andriano and even Ronaldinho

active football? as if u don't have a clue of the uneasy background sorrounding that career here in Nigeria starting from the street to academy and the big disconnect to making it a profession . all this delays works with time. active football or not they make their country proud. there names are there on the history books.

that is true but in this part of the world you might have to be 16 before you can be free to go football training from the house but over there in the western world you can start at a tender age of 9. so don't compare them with us cus we barely get it easy here

We know all dat... My post wasn't meant to compare players or their achievements.. It's jus to highlight d huge gap in our players development and transition from youth players to Senior team players and how short lived our footballers are in dis parts..

Taiye Taiwo captained Olympique Marseille, lifted trophies wearing their arm band, played for AC Milan and was courted by Real Madrid and you have the spine to open your dirty mouth to trash talk him?

For a guy to walk straight into Olympique Marseille team from the Nigerian League to become the teams captain is no easy achievement. But then, losers like you will never appreciate greatness because you'll forever remain in the gutters
I tire ooo...mikel and taye taiwo played for so many years in Europe...and people who haven't achieved anything anything in their miserable life are insulting them...Nigerians with thier retarded brains sef

Exactly my point!!! Yet so many morons wont use their brains to think and understand d point.. Our youth players dont usually make it to d senior team or have a long lasting career becos of age falsification.. Age eventually catches up with dem. U can't cheat nature
Shut up jor...u think It's only age falsification that doesn't make a footballer career last long, Ur attitude, discipline, passion, and how good you are comes in to place...most of all this players u people are all taking about are promoted from u17 to u20 and are finally integrated to the national team.
