To misdirect priorities and further enslave Asians, Arabs and mostly Africans!! Its a shame majority of religious folks are living under a $/day in a country where even politicians loot our combined wealth and build a church for the poor masses to continue their foolishness in prayers.
foolishness in prayer? I already know where you belong.

Before anyone comes to tell us the usual story of how we should be building industries and not churches..

Pls note that the aim of the church is to further everything related to the church. People who give to church don't give to church to "improve" Nigeria but the Gospel. So pls channel your frustration to your elected govt officials who are responsible for improving Nigeria.

If you want churches to improve Nigeria, then let's hand over the VAT, Pet Tax, CIT, PayE, Wharf etc to rccg or lfc church because the way it looks as though the churches are managing themselves better than how govt is managing our lives.

The impact of the church is not in brick and mortar but in its catering to the poor and widows.
I am yet to decide my position on rccg as a ministry yet cos it seems all we hear is not their charity but their business.

This country is finished

People are suffering

Someone just gave birth to a animal-human species

The price of garri is going up

Dapchi girls are still missing

And worst of all buhari is still in power

AND RCCG CAN NOT DO ANYTHING BUT TO SHOW OFF HER ACHIEVEMENT

ADEBOYE IS MADT

Is Adeboye the government?

Is Adeboye a genetic mutator? Or na him give the woman belle?

Does Adeboye make garri?

Should Adeboye pick up arms and go to Dapchi?

Is Adeboye going to go kick Buhari out of power?

You are madt and you don't know it.

Real Christians don't flaunt charitable works...
That's the only thing that gets me skeptical about TB Joshua.
Matthew 6:3

The church isn't accountable to anyone...
If you don't want to pay tithe or offering, then by all means, don't pay...the church will still strive.

Were you expecting them to bring their financial reports to your house?

Yeye dey smell...

Please ask the government to give us financial report first(after all, you're taxed compulsorily on everything for everything you do, buy or sell...)

Hallelujah isn’t your trade mark, stupidity is. Only in Nigeria are the priciest buildings those belonging to churches... most of whom stay empty except for a few hours on Sunday.

And the priciest buildings should rather belong to who?

I guess 1000-50000 congregants worshipping God under canopies or in the open sun will be more pleasing to you right...?

I'm sure the amount spent in constructing faith tabernacle ota is like 1/10th of what was spent in building 1 government house in Nigeria.

see if you ask them to start charity say a school or hospital or a daily soup kitchen that should be located not more than 10km from their place of operation. That can carter for atleast 10% of their population, you will see them bearing their fangs and talons. Forgetting that they are registered under ngo with cac.

Christians and their lifestyle, churches don become amusement park nowadays. People no longer go to church to pray to GOD again, they go because it gives them d opportunity to showcase themselves. Girls will go to church braless in other to seduce boys, while boys will dress like nigga go church just bcuz of girls. Even some of my christian friends will even come to me to borrow clothes and shoes dat they can wear to churchjust to look attractive. WELL SHA, I'M VERY PROUD TO BE A MUSLIM. Shout-out to all my muslim brothers and sisters, but never imitate d lifestyles of christians(SHITHOLE LIFESTYLES).

Lemme indulge you with a reply...

No be by burka or hijab o...
Go to twitter and see Fulani girls who are escorts...they cover everywhere, but have almost no value down south...

Before you speak, note that your fellow Muslim sisters are the 'baddest'...all the muslim girls for my street dne carry belle finish...

The issue is not even about flaunting it, but that no one, not a soul knows of their charity work meaning if they do its insignificant. Yet this is the most significant work of the church. We've heard and seen videos of billions being raised to build bigger state of the art record shattering mansions for the church yet never seen none in the name of charity. If TB Joshua gives and its videoed why is that wrong? If it's done in the name of evangelism and not self glorification.

You probably made sense to yourself...
We pray less when outside of Nigeria because we are farther from the village people...

Blame it all on the government, your point(s) has nothing to to with the Church...
The church does what it can do in it's capacity(after all winnere chapel constructed roads in Ogun start, they also provide education)

You have a very beautiful point.

Neveetheless included in the gospel of Jesus Christ is a heavy dose of Charity as exemplified by Jesus regularly feeding the poor and healing the sick.

Since our pastors can not make bread multiply nor make sick people well, there is no harm in also building many hospitals and food centers in a country where many are suffering.

Last time in 9ja, I asked around my neighbourhood where the nearest public library is. Nobody had any idea. I might as well have been speaking Korean language. Also no swimming pool to be seen. No free youth club to engage young people. Nothing.

In a hypocritically religious country, where corruption, money ritual and many other vices still have their HQ, we revel in how big churches and mosques are.

Those religious bodies that build schools, the masses cannot afford them.

Assuming CMS and other missionaries behaved that way, education would never have got anywhere in 9ja. Awo, Zik, Enahoro and many others might have died as peasant farmers.

I pray that God provides more abundantly, I will spend my money providing one or more of those facilities mentioned above for my hood.

And the church should provide libraries and swimming pools right?

Then what's the use of the government and the taxes you pay to them?

Just let your conscience remind you that the missionaries that brought Christianity to Nigeria also came with education, welfare, hospitals and aid. All these were other people's money, you know!?

Nigeria didn't have a central government then...
Africa is like a man who has been taught to fish but still insists on going in a learning loop...

When the missionaries came, I bet there were no taxes, vat, land use charge, vehicle registration charge and the rest...
If the church is expected to take care and provide the basic needs of Nigeria and Nigerians, then by all means there's no need for a government...

1) I would like to point out that the money that was used to build this really good looking edifice could have gone towards building a modest structure AND provide some amenities for the community it is in

2) I would also like to point out that what the church does with its money is its business so long as the money was not obtained under any false pretenses

You see you can't always know all...there are a whole lot of other things you and I don't know about...

I saw a post on nairaland about RCCG operating a rehab centre and some other things, LFC constructing kilometres of road and a whole lot more...

People never see or hear these(because good/promotional news never sell)

People prefer to hear 'Oyedepo says he doesn't own a private jet; it's the church's missionary jet' then go on a frenzy saying it's a lie and he owns 75 jets not 1.

They'll totally turn a blind eye and unlook news like 'Living Faith Church supplying it's host community free electricity from it's power plant'

Why not? The church should be about the people, not personal private jets.

Aha! At bolded. But the same churches fraternize with big politicians. One pastor is even in the presidency as VP! Yet they cannot tell their politician friends and big money donors about their political duty to the masses.

Maybe you will ask "must pastors tell politicians to do their job?"

Well if pastors cannot stand for the poor like Jesus did, then they have no business being pastors.

Ermmm............church money belong to the people paying tithes & multiple offerings too.

Therefore politicians & pastors are just too sides of the same coin.

He's not my GO, that doesn't mean I have to join the bandwagon of people who speak out of spite and hate.

If I'm to criticize a man, it should be for good reasons, not because we don't share the same religious beliefs.

A jet is a necessity at a point in time, if the church can afford it, then what's the problem?
People can never be satisfied(even if Adeboye flies first class in a commercial airline, all of you will still complain).

They have busy schedules and usually need some relaxation before the next appointment, remember they never travel alone...so by the time you calculate the price of first class tickets for him and the rest travellers, then multiply by the number of trips the make in a year you'll understand...
