No wonder, our leaders are messing up big time because they know the masses arent serious.

Well, selling products (e.g. books) yet not spending your profit on clothes is one way to build wealth, assuming he is frugal in other aspects of his personal life.

When you see a man selling handkerchiefs and still sweating profusely in traffic, it tells you that possession is not the same as ownership

If you were to find out how wealthy around the world people remain wealthy, it's that they live way below their means, allowing the money they have to keep growing. Rich/aspirational people are often too quick to spend and flash their clothes or cars and find themselves unable to sustain their money. Just because you see a person poorly dressed - plumber in rags, or a book seller in tatters, or small kiosk owner in a dirty singlet, or an akara seller in old wrappers, a billionaire wearing cheap jeans - does not mean they are not stacking chips and spending their money on more meaningful things (e.g. someone's education, or growing their business)

You know how many young boys trading in small shops become the big men of industry? They don't do it by frittering their money on clothes. I've seen poor-looking men commanding inventory in their various shops worth 100's of million Naira.

As long as sweat doesn't kill you, no sense in wasting hankies since he will still sweat all day. His business is not to use his products, it's to sell his products.

Spot on. There is this massive pharmacy shop in my hood that most people patronise. There is this young man amongst others that I'd normally interact with when I walk in there to pick OTC drugs. I never knew he was the owner of the business until I met him inside an aircraft and we got talking. I was very impressed .
