The primary blame for the collapse of the economy and the recession lies at Buharis door. His uneconomic pegging of the currency at 197 to a $1 upon assumption of office in May 2015. Utomi, Soludo and Sanusi blamed the exchange controls for the severe artificial scarcity it created and the recession that resulted from companies deprived of Forex closing shop.

Adeosun on the other hand is at worst unfit for the post or a lightweight at a time economy was in a downward spiral and needed the Mourinhos, the Zidanes, the Guardiolas of the economics world.

A finance minister that wants to pump prime or reflate an economy facing stagflation isn't fit for the post.

Stagflation is when your economy is stagnant and inflation is high.

Pump priming is only applied to economies that are either stagnant or in recession or depression but are either suffering from deflation or very very low inflation.

The reason why is that if money is pumped into the economy, it will not result to high inflation.

The United States during the early years of the Obama administration used a mixture of massive spending and quantitative easing (another means of flooding the economy with cash) yet annual inflation never touched 2%.

Nigeria's inflation was already in double digits or 10% or more. When the government started pumping money into the economy, inflation stated to rise fast. The CBN started mopping up the cash.
