I pity some shallow minds posting rubbish and reading forbes comparison. Forbes speak of Ghana in comparison to the world. Ghana has by far superceded Nigeria. I travelled to Ghana January 2012 and 1 Ghanian Cedi was just 10naira. Now, check the exchange rate 1Ghanian Cedi is about 79naira. Compare amenities in Ghana, better roads, stable power, discipline, lesser-corruption etc. We may have the larger market n resources, but having it is not using it. Ghana thrives on agriculture, and don't forget that. We use to, but the only existing industry now is the oil industry and rogues control and steal the proceeds. Na so south africa take start, now we need visa to go SA. Small small our eyes go open. If you like, stick to ur pride n ego thinking population carries the day, take a clue from Japan and realize that even a less populated country can create wonderful economy.

We may be rich, but take a look at the roads the rich ply, murder rate is high, international reputation is bad, businesses in the north has been deplenishing, extortionists just won't stop, no stable power, interest rate on loan is high, importation in almost EVERY sector even pms, patriotism partially zero (except for personal gain). Forbes was never comparing Ghana to Nigeria, but to the world. And it's analysis was mainly on 'aluminium' exploit. Does Nigeria have Aluminium? Ask yourself and how many other industries have we left to decay?
