i hav my share of discontentment with ds messed up nation, neva-d-less at certain moments, d feeling of passion is raised at the sound of the song. remember so well on my P.O.P from NYSC, it was d first time i heard Nigerians sing national anthem so passionately; i saw true tears; people scremd; i can still replay d indellible pictures of events. d stadiun shook ans for a moment after, there was absolute silence, then followed thonderous shouts and cap throwings. it was electric, i havnt forgotten it and i will never forget it. it gave me a new vista of understandn ds country; we feel so bad not really because we hate the alliance nor our neighbours, but because we r disappointed with where we r. if only we can be assured of better tomorrow, we wld never mind going with the north and askin cameroun to return the western cameroun to Nigeria. we r just frustrated! the true test of loyalty of nigerians came up again during bakassi cessetion, u could feel d passionate outcry for war, even when dt wld have gone against court verdict. i hope many of us wldnt appreciate ds on day we will be faced by foreing aggressors, but surely, d natonal anthem wld make meaning to we all then. i only pray it shall never come to dt. i dont really like ds system, anyway, Nigeria we hail thee, God Bless Nigeria |

The time the nation shall enjoy the national anthem when singing it is not yet come. We only pray it approaches fast. None of our leaders can do that anthem without a projector.  |

The Nigerian National Anthem is one of the best if not the best in the world expecially the pledge but re our Government patriotic enough to obey what the pledge says. This is what Govt officials rather say: I Pledge to Nigeria a foreign country, to be unfaithful, unloyal and dishonest to serve Nigeria is not by force, to defeat our unity and make money is my honour and glory. Actually I feel indifferent, I usually don't even finish it till the end (not that I don't know it, I just don't feel it, maybe because I know it is all a lie). I sang it now and I felt like taking 99% of our leaders to the gallows |

hi guys,nigeria is a great country and i believe we can make it individually if we remain positive. i am proudly nigerian any where and the national anthem makes my head swell. i am proud of naija guys. naija 4 life all nations have one thing or the other to say about their nations. so why we nigerians are too bitter . check, the asians and indians they are rich technologically yet their citizens still struggle to live,their people live in slums. Though our Lord JESUS was despised in his own land that is why HE said a prophet is not honoured in his own land. guys let us be positive in life.if nigeria is disappointing u - u do not disappoint urself. shallom!!! |
