Let’s try this, if it doesn’t work (cos my guess is that the problem arised because of the firmware upgrade) then may be the boys at Alaba will have to eat some of your naira for their services: do a factory reset first, then follow it up with a rerun of the 1.10p. That’s how far I guess I can go. If the problem didn’t arise from the firmware upgrade then all these efforts will result to zero.

@sophieamore1: getting dis far 4 pple like enitan is never an easy task. Himself and others sacrifice alot to get most of us dis far in d world of FTA. Calling his knowledge little on dis forum is really bad. Some of us don't know anything about satellite before we became members of dis great forum and now we can boldly talk anywhere about it because we learn from dis place. D knowledge here is too massive to be term little and if u think it's little, why don't u ignore it as little as it is for something bigger. Pls don't be offended but i think it's time to appreciate dis pple rather than relegate their knowledge.

Our problem as rightly put by bode john arise from the fact that we find it to difficult to read and that's the main problem we face today on these forum.My belief is that if you really want something u would go to any length to make sure u get it,that includes burning airtime on calls,sms e.t.c as well as using the internet to source for knowledge and information.I wont want to mention names here but those that pioneered this thread made sacrifices and paid some price and mind u some of these guys are happily married with family.
All am trying to say is that enough of these lazy attitude and if we really claim to be dat lazy then at least we could go through the manual that come with the receiver(strong).there is always a sheet of paper that tells u the satellite that can be tracked in various region of the country and the various dish sizes that could be used in such tracking.Have a blessed day

I had an experience today concerning 68.5E ku, i spent roughly 5 hours tracking mytv, all to no avail, wondering what could be wrong, tracked dstv, w3a, sirus, was even getting some 'indigo color' on nile with 90cm, but mytv just failed to come up during those hours, the work is postponed for another day.
The summary of this, no matter how versatile you're in satellite, when the elements controlling the birds are against you, you're simply on your own. I guess i need to appeal to them before i go back to nail it down.

@ lovala thanks once again, i have giving it 2my to my tecnichan who is going 2alaba, he promise to take it to strongs office to help retify the fault. As this may be factory problem i Promise to give feed back in regards to every details as soon as he comes back but said it will take sometime may be weeks. So untill then i will be using my 4663x. A friend of mine has just bought a 4669xii and was asking me how he can have sound for etv. I have experience for a 4669x (which I have) and have therefore not been very helpful in bailing him out. Those of you who have 4669xii, how is the issue of sound for etv addressed? I have been trying to download SRT4669XII_7111_ALL_ME_102p_20101224.zip
hoping it may take care of this but for some unknown reason downloading is not possible from the site. Pls assist.

Furthermore, SABCs on tp 11674 (Intel 7) are coming scrambled on his 4669xii. The trick I play on my 4669x (i.e. Pressing on remote 6969 then again 6969 for PIN) to bring them out does not work on his 4669xii. Again anyone with solutions, pls come forward.
