Information reaching the PoliticsNGR newsdesk on Friday afternoon reveals that activist, Deji Adeyanju has been remanded in prison custody till February 6th, 2019.

A chief magistrate court in Kano state remanded Adeyanju in prison custody after taking his plea

The police arrested Mr Adeyanju on December 13, accusing him of being complicit in a murder case in 2000.Adeyanju was discharged and acquitted by the Kano State High Court after a trial that lasted between 2005 and 2009.

Adeyanju was arraigned before Justice Hassan Fagge early Friday morning. He stated that he lacked the power to hear the murder charges brought against the political activist by the police but ordered that he remains in prison until February 6 when a higher court will be available for a hearing into the matter.

Adeyanju has been moved to Kano Prisons.

A leopard can never change its spot. Finding a guy that has been discharged and acquitted 9 years ago culpable suddenly just because he criticizes your government.

Something is seriously wrong with the judiciary.
A High Court at Jabi in Abuja set him free, but one kangaroo court in Kano wants Deji to be remanded in prison custody till February 2019.
This is not right now.

We all need to come to our senses and reason this together
What purpose is a silencer toward sand and papers toward political rejuvenation. Together we must come together and pretend for leaves and trees in our generation.
Agree to cold and tyres are rubbers.

A country where rule of law continues to take the back sit isn't a country said to be fighting corruption. Corruption isn't only stealing money. When there is abuse of power that is also corruption. A Case were he has been discharged and acquitted almost over 10years ago shouldn't have brought back because he was discharged and acquitted by a competent court of the land

He must have received enough sense by then.

Only a fool fight for the masses in Nigeria..Fighting for the masses is like fighting FG. That is how it is everywhere in the world ( Jamal, Saudi....Not justifying though).

There is freedom of speech but freedom after the speech is not guaranteed.

Help masses instead of creating nuisances in the name of fighting for masses.
