Breaking: Zamfara APC: Court okays INEC’s rejection of candidates

A Federal High Court in Abuja has held that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) acted within its powers by refusing to accept list of candidates for the next general elections from the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu, in a judgment on Friday, said it was not the fault of INEC that the APC failed to conduct a valid primary within the period scheduled by the electoral body.

Justice Onjukwu said INEC’s action was intended to curb impunity among political parties and politicians; ensure that rule of law is adhered to.

The judgment was on a suit filed in the name of APC by some individuals, who said they emerged from a consensus arrangement adopted by the party in Zamfara State.

Details later.

inec does not have the time for this hocus pocus of APC state chapters.
I don't see inec placing APC on the polling card when there are two separate court ruling on the issue of zamfara apc

Some times I feel Buhari doesn't influence all this agencies to do things, other wise how could INEC deliberately refused APC's candidates in some states knowing fully well it is a direct gift to PDP. I think people only make noice if those things involves PDP otherwise I can't fantom what would have happened by now if it was PDP's candidates that INEC deliberately disqualified like that and I don't think this will ever happen if it was PDP government.

Anyway me I just dey sitdon dey look as a neutral.

Kingsley is my candidate since SDP don pusure Donald Duke and they don commot chair for anty Obi ezekweazeli yansh.

Is it not shameful and demonic that the anti-corruption government of Buhari and APC are now the ones going about bribing Nigerians with bags of rice and Tradermoni to buy votes?

Nigerians are indeed stupid(including the educated zombies) and deserves the kind of evil leaders they get.

Those who cannot read.

A Federal High Court in Abuja has held that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) acted within its powers by refusing to accept list of candidates for the next general elections from the Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The highlighted is the bone of contention.

The other ruling from the high court in ZAMFARA declared the primaries to be valid and did not touch on the powers of inec.

Both rulings are different.

In this case, ZAMFARA APC candidates across board will be reinstated by inec
