Elections postponed at the last minute and the head of the INEC is yet to explain? If he is not accountable now...why will he be on the 23rd? We're giving him more power by not holding him accountable.

My only qwesion is what happens to sensitive materials already in public space? How safe are they?

Hope some criminal elements parading as politicians haven had their way with such materials in some quarters and next week's election will all be nothing but a movie.

How sure are we that some persons are not going to write results between now and then?

That should be unacceptable...... a big disrespect to the nation and international disgrace. On announcing the postponement he should've given the reason at the same time. Why until now?...as if there need to be an investigation. He needs to be stoned.

Yes, where the dullard in chief will be sent packing. Right?

They are only postponing the inevitable.

Whoever mastermind this postponment if it's for selfish reason, God's judgement shall be upon him.

Most people are not happy. I felt so ashamed, to hear this news too, after 4yrs of preparations? However, it is good to always think carefully and be patient before reacting to issues.

That not withstanding, I thing the INEC chairman should step down after the election but before then, he should make sure he sack all personnel, that are found wanton, who brought this disgrace to all (It is a national disgrace). This is not Buhari's cause. it is lack of detail process execution and control.

This is one of the major reasons Nigeria is failing as a nation.

Hopefully, INEC will get its inefficient act together and deliver a free, fair, and credible elections next week. The postponement is a very bitter pill to swallow for most of us. Nigeria is our country and we have no other country to run to. Even if I’m giving a free Canadian visa, I will still remain in Nigeria. Therefore, we must learn to always get things right.

Desperate politicians on all sides should also stop playing politics with this national embarrassment. The shame of this postponement is on all Nigerians. We must all rally round INEC at this critical time to ensure a successful election next week.
