 The Senate has amended and passed the Public Holiday Act to declare June 12 as Democracy day and public holiday. The Bill which originated from the House of Representatives was unanimously adopted by lawmakers during plenary. The Public Holiday Act amended Bill when signed into law by the President will replace May 29 as the new democracy day.
