you need to have a friend trustworthy enough to pay all monies you sent to him on your behalf. if you dont have then you might need to pay all other costs like web service cost, online payment cost etc. The tricky part is getting the car down to the shipyard, the car might not be in exactly the condition in the picture available it could be that you did not look well or you are inexperienced. the worst that can happen is if the car cant be driven then you have to either fix it or containerize it, the costs vary and the delivery date as well.
on the other hand if your lucky you could get a very good car at an unbelievably cheap price in fact all extra costs will not bother you for example buying a 2012 c300 for $12000 only an extra $3000 on costs will not bother you.
if you have the friend that is willing to drive down to copart office and lineup behind like 70 people to pay for your car then you can buy it the cheapest way possible. Anything outside that then you might have to pay an extra $2500 or more for fees associated with not having that kind of friend.
once you have paid you can pick up the car withing 2 days max after which you will need to pay $20 extra perday; i have payed like $220 for this. one more thing you need to be very patient with people you will hear plenty plenty stories from many quarters. shipping is fixed for sedan cars ro ro. finally the shipping company can delay on the average think of between 3 weeks to 2 months to get your car down to lagos.

Its all worth it if the car is good and you paid like many hundred thousands bellow what you get it for in Nigeria. remember your going to sell it after a few years so cut your losses short.

yes i did the bidding myself. the bidding is simple, just wait for your car to go on auction then you click your bidding button thats all. you need to have the money to pay once you have won the bid or you will be fined $400. Nigerian time its between 5pm to 7pm on copart, if you win a bid and you change your mind no problem, all you have to do is pay $400 fine.

My oga, it's going to be my first, after reading all the posts about kompressor, am kind of scared of getting one.. (cost of maintenance n availability of reliable auto techs).

That use to be in the past. i repeat Kompressor is a little thing overhere now, it cost nothing to fix.. absolutely nothing.. I dont need to write any extensive essay on it again.

I didnt see the other partas per the "not responsive"....Its a fuel trim issue . Like my brother rightly said , just scan to have peace of mind

But i can quickly tell you that its a fuel trim issue. You've been using the wrong fuel extensively over time , cleaning/changing the plugs alone will not help. You have already got some build up in your engine as a result of predominant use of unleaded fuel in your Benz. Secondary, you may need to clean the nuzzles and the merge/little filter valve that connect to it too and blow your fuel line, if dirt should contribute too, as well as treating your fuel extensively then will your car be normal again . That is, if you fuel sending unit in the tank have not started misbehaving too when you are low on fuel.
