Earlier Today The National Broadcasting Commission suspended the operating license of DAAR Communications PLC .

The NBC boss says the decision was taken because of the company’s persistent violations of the NBC’s broadcasting Code, despite several warnings from the commission

He adds that this decision is not taken on any form of partisan consideration and the suspension stands until further notice.

The management of Daar communications should go to court if they feel NBC acted illegally. Making noise on social media and calling the president unprintable names won’t help their case. NBC warned them severally but they refused to stop broadcasting divisive and treasonable contents. Constructive criticism of government’s policies and decisions is not the same thing as propagating outright falsehood and airing hate speeches.

NBC must never shy away from taking tough decisions like this when necessary. Impunity must not be the order of the day. When a broadcast station fails to adhere to regulatory codes governing broadcasting, there must be sanctions. We cannot sacrifice the unity and peace of Nigeria on the altar of selfish political interest of some few political elites.

Abacha was a choir boy in the Holy Temple of Buhari.

Idi Amin would soon be another learner in Buhari Institute of Tyranny

Meaningless noise as usual. Violation of NBC codes, the question should be what are those codes they violated? Are they actually violated the codes? Have they be warned before and what is their reaction? Buhari is not GEJ that you can intimidate to dance to your tone. I expect them to resolve the issue with NBC before all their business will crumble. My advice my opinion.

Please don't let us turn this into a political matter. If AIT violated NBC rules and regulations, good for them. If otherwise is the case, they should drag the NBC to court. Shikena

You are minding NBC. This is illegality. DAAR should sue them. After the demolition of the fence . Next level wants to put Nigerians out of work. Shame.

Reactors

How did AIT survive under PDP from 1999 to 2015? Then all political functions were aired live on AIT and most adverts from PDP controlled States went to AIT. If you can remember that famous phone call OBJ made to Late Yar Adua in 2007 (Umaru Umaru) we watched it live on NTA. In 1999, the PDP primary where OBJ emerged was also aired from 6:00pm to 6:00am live on AIT. But under APC, it's TVC and channels that are getting them. Tables only turned, the fee was not sporadically reviewed.

So what Happened to Daarsat? Why did it collapse? Where are the share holders funds?

Did Daar Communication break the law?
Yes, they did

I fear for the future of this country. I hope apc keeps winning because if pdp gets there, they will go on a vengeful spree they wouldn't have thought possible.

There are no more limits, no more red lines.
Buhari obliterated everything. Destroyed federal character, destroyed sanctity of press.

There are one thousand and one rules CNN have broken, but Trump cannot shut them down.

It does not look good.

Nigeria does not have a stronger regulatory system than America.

You are just less democratic and more corrupt.
