I doubt if this would happen under a military regime
tstx:

Nigerians are cowards..Atleast the crop of youths you hv now... Nothing will happen. I repeat, nothing will happen.

And the Saddest part is Even your government won't do anything
....

South Africa started this .. But our government refused to do anything about this because those affected were mainly the Igbos.

Now other African countries hv started theirs.. Even Togo.. God. Togo.
Soon Equatorial Guinea will begin theirs...

Our leaders are the worst..

Let's clear some little issue,s about the Igbo man*
*They are great entrepreneurs
*well in socializing
*jovial and entertaining set of tribal
*productive

But the average Igbo man is loud and dominate
*you can be successful in another man's land and live a quite life.
*The Igbo man has a pride nature not just in action but in words
*He parade himself around the flaws of his host, bylittling his capability.
*Igbo don't respect boundaries and norms of his host.
*He doesn't know the guides of a visitor in a foreign land.
*An average Igbo man believes he can dominate anyplace even in his host house.

*They've had issues with the Hausa in the north.
*They call Lagos no mans land they develop it themselves.
*Benin republic
*Togo
*south Africa
*Ghana
And major cities where Nigerians have had huge crises relating to businesses

Come o shocked

What if all those abusing of other Nigerian ethnicities that some people ascribe to Igbos and that I sometimes attribute to foreigners like South Africans and racists whites, what if Ghanaians are the ones responsible (largely). Perhaps a dedicated group of Ghanaians sponsored by their government or similar and the aim is to isolate Igbos in Ghana so that when Ghanaians or their authorities come to persecute them in a big way, Nigerians of other ethnicity would be reluctant to back up our Igbo people over there. The thought seems all the more persuasive when one considers that those we think of as Igbos, that abuse other Nigerians online, tend conversely to praise Ghana highly. Igbos are too smart and their culture too rich in worldly understanding evident in countless Igbo words of wisdom to be ones to commit the foolish act of burning their breeches (cussing Nigeria) when in other peoples lands.

Togo/Ghana same people.

Igbo people get problems wahlai! You go a random community and cause trouble. Even here in Lagos, we had to put them in their place. You dont respect host communities yet they cant stay in their 5 States...obnoxious people.

They keep disgracing Nigerians all over the world.

Metrixnews:
Togolese have reportedly harassed Nigerian citizens, particularly Igbo men who do business in their country over a minor disagreement involving a middle aged Igbo man and a Togolese lady, ABN TV reports.

Trouble started when both whom we gathered were lovers could not reconcile their disagreement on Monday June 17.

This later led to a physical combat between the duo, causing bodily harm on both parties.

The Togolese lady was said to have mobilised some suspected thugs in the area to beat up the boyfriend who was lucky to hear about the plan and fled.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dRZ4QC0tcq4

Frustrated by their inability to see their target, the thugs allegedly resorted to destroying houses belonging to Igbo men, searching for them to retaliate the injury inflicted on their citizen.

It was gathered that the thugs invaded houses where Igbo men lived an beat them up, tied them with ropes till the police later came.

SOURCE: https://www.abnews247.com/2019/06/how-togolese-nationals-allegedly-harass-igbo-traders-threatened-to-kill-them-graphic-photosvideo/

The guys beaten in the video also lived in the same compound with the guy who caused the problem and fled. Because they didn't see the guy and they knew other Nigerians stay in the same house they decided to attack the other Nigerians.
As we speak they are well taken care in the hospital by the government and well secured by heavily armed military men in order to ensure the issue doesn't escalate. The girl who called the thugs is still at large and the are looking for her while some of the thugs who were involved in this act have been arrested and will face the law for their actions.

Togo is a very peaceful country but it is no news that some Nigerians do mishave. However the act was really bad and has been well taken care of in order to avoid further attacks on peaceful Nigerians doing good business in Togo.

From the story i notice you are just so specific in mentioning and making it clear that it's igbo. A citizen outside his country should not be tag by is tribe, rather should be seen as Nigeria rather than pin pointing is tribe. If he did well you will see them as Nigerians. Instead of you fighting for your fellow country men, you choose to blame it on igbo.

I agreed to all the point listed above because they are doing same thing to there fellow country men here in Nigeria (imaging they will be claiming "Lagos is no mans land"wink but that does not mean we should not condemn the attack on Igbo by our neighboring countries. an on Igbo man is an attack on Nigerian.

Something tells me there is more to this story than meets the eye. First of, all I see are five guys being attacked, I believe there are more than just five Nigerians living in Togo. So if the attack is as a result of homophobia, you need more than just this video to prove it. Secondly the OP displayed crass stupidity in the way he framed his story, if these guys were attacked because they are Nigerians, you can be damn sure that their Togolese attackers don't give a Bleep about their Igbo ethnicity. They would just as easily have attacked a Yoruba person or an Hausa person as long as they are Nigerians. So my advice to the OP is: learn to think and speak outside the realm of ethnic loyalty for once. Your ethnicity don't mean shit outside the shores of Nigeria. So refer to those being attacked as Nigerians( if truly they are) and not as Igbo men.
