Dr. deji Adeleke isn't a card carrying member of any political party, but he's a big supporter of pdp. he supported pdp in both body, financially, soul and spirit.

You are so on point. PDP lost the last election because of internal crisis. I could remember the smile on Governor Dickson's face when Adeleke won the primaries. It was obvious that they only wanted Adeleke even though Dr Akin Ogunbiyi is the best candidate. PDP is a confused party.
That singular act that ended recently was the architect to PDP failure assume Osun state house..

Eyah.
It seems the Adeleke's are pained.
It's not easy being deprived of one's right you know...

I feel for the Adeleke's.

Which kind yeye right?, SOmebody that got a senator seat on a platter of gold, instead of him to enjoy the first 4 years before trying to go for governorship, he stupidily opted for the governor's seat just few months in the senate. He is foolish to have not reason well before accepting it,

The Adelekes were chopped during the elections all in the name of campaigns.

They were re-chopped after the elections all in the name of getting back stolen mandate.

And now they will continue to chop them by washing their head that they will get that sit anyhow in the next election.

Remember the saying, a p***y once chopped can always be re-chopped as long as the chopper and the choppee agrees that the last time it was chopped, it was WELL CHOPPED.

grin grin You too sabi shaaa

Those PDP leaders @ osun are parasite .they are not ready to finance the party but they are looking for who will finance it for them.It makes me remember Omisore who finance the party but later broke his way out . they later descended on Adeleke family now Adelekes are now wiser we don't know who they will grab now unless PDP will die a natural death in osun.

Blame his strategist

He was quite aware of PDP status before diving in. Does he think the full weight of PDP will be behind him?

Atiku will tell later revelations after tribunal is over.
Wow. Okay.

OndoFirstBorn:
Deji Adeleke, elder brother to the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in the September 22, 2018 governorship poll in Osun State, Ademola Adeleke, on Thursday, said many promises made by the PDP before the family accepted the party’s governorship ticket were not kept.

Adeleke, in a statement he signed and obtained in Osogbo on Thursday, declared that his younger brother had no intention to contest the governorship election in the first place.

He, however, added that Senator Ademola Adeleke, was prevailed on by the PDP leadership and elders before the family accepted “most reluctantly after receiving assurances and promises that were never kept.”

He said the younger Adeleke should be given a break to take a rest and decide what he would do or not do when the time comes.

He expressed gratitude to those who are concerned about the huge resources committed to execute his younger brother’s participation in the PDP primary and general elections and the payment to lawyers during the litigation period.

Adeleke conselled that money spent on elections should not be considered an investment that would be recouped upon assumption of office through corruption and banditry, but should rather be considered as a grant to help deepen democracy and advance the rule of law.

The statement read, “I am not a card-carrying member of any political party but I am a sympathiser/supporter of the PDP in Osun State. Osun State PDP will be better off and well prepared for the next general election in the state, if internal democracy is encouraged and enforced.

“All elective positions, including the position of governor of the state, should be open to all members of the party to contest in a transparent primary election. Everyone must be given a sense of belonging, in order to grow the party in Osun State.

“The PDP members that are trading blame within the party should be reminded that the PDP won the governorship election held on September 22, 2018, but was not allowed to take office by the powers that be in the ruling party. Members should be proud that the electorate sided with the party against the ruling party in that election and not blame each other for the daylight robbery that deprived the party of the mandate freely given by the good people of Osun State, which has brought shame and disgrace to Nigeria as a country.”

He added, “As for the Adeleke family, of which I am one, we will like to remind all the PDP members that Senator Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke had no intention to contest the governorship election in the first place, but was invited and prevailed upon by the party leadership and party elders to contest the governorship election, which he and his family accepted most reluctantly after receiving assurances and promises that were never kept.

“Everything that followed after this, is now history. Senator Adeleke should, therefore, be given a break, to take his well-deserved rest and decide what he will do/not do when the time comes.

“Contributions to an election fund should always be considered a grant, to help deepen our democracy and advance the rule of law, which eventually translates into Foreign Direct Investments (FDI), economic growth and job creation.”

Reacting to the controversies surrounding reported adoption of Senator Adeleke as the PDP consensus governorship candidate of the 2022 poll, the Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the party, Diran Odeyemi, said a chieftain of the party from Osun West, while addressing a meeting held in Adeleke’s residence in Ede, on Tuesday, suggested that Senator Adeleke should be re-presented by the party in 2022.

Odeyemi said, “Dr Babalola said in appreciation of the support of the Adelekes to the PDP in Osun State, Senator Ademola Adeleke should be represented in 2022 and everyone seated clapped in appreciation of that motion.

“What I said was that after listening to assurances from Dr Deji Adeleke, who assured us of continuous support, I suggested that he should be made one of the leaders of our party. It happened at a political gathering.”

This is a very insincere statement. Note the following:

Upon the death of their brother who was a former governor and senator (late Isiaka Adeleke), it was agreed to compensate the family with the empty seat. Senator Adeleke could not secure the ticket of the APC and PDP offered him the ticket, supported him and he won.

While serving as a senator Rauf Aregbesola's tenure was coming to an end. Interested candidates offered themselves and the PDP ticket was given to him inspite of other highly qualified persons. If he was persuaded by the party he had the right to reject it. Surely he weighed his chances and believed that just as he won the senatorial with ease, he could win the governorship with ease. The party supported him clearly.

When supplementary elections were announced Omisore was waiting to pay the Adelekes back with that bad coin. Politics is interest. The old battles between the Omisores and the Adelekes became an issue. Omisore preferred the overtues made to him by APC and asked his supporters to back APC in the supplementary election. It was payback time. Do not forget the bitterness of the aggrieved persons who lost the ticket to him.

See if you add the votes of PDP and SDP, clearly APC was defeated hands down. Do not forget that Omisore decamped from PDP to secure the SDP ticket.

How did the party abandon the Adelekes? With the certificate matter, still the party continued offering support. A suggestion has gone for the party to continue with the Adelekes in 2022, and this man has issued this statement. It is very unfortunate.

Lesson to learn. Never bite the fingers that feed you. The future for the Adelekes in Osun remain with the PDP. Mind your words and do not say things that will cause your brother problems politically in the future.
