VIDEO: Sanusi Weeps, Narrates How Sick Child Died In Mother’s Arms Over $5

The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, shed tears on Thursday as he decries the alarming rate of inequalities in the country.

According to him, the inequalities in society have caused so much hardship with the poor paying the ultimate sacrifice.

The traditional ruler made the submission as he gave an emotional address at a United Nations meeting to reach Sustainable Development Goals in Lagos.

He sobbed as narrated an unfortunate situation where a mother could not save her sick child, despite being close to getting help.

Sanusi told the gathering at the event that on that fateful day, the woman had walked to the palace from a children’s hospital located just about 200 metres.

According to him, he heard a very loud scream and asked someone to check what happened while the person who came back with tears in his eyes.

The emir said the baby died in the mother’s arms while she was waiting for her turn to ask for money to buy the drug to save her child.

“And how much was this? It was less than five dollars,” an emotional Sanusi said.

He added, “This is what happens every day in this country. Children die because their parents cannot afford five dollars, that a mother will watch her child die because she does not have five dollars.”

Very stupid post.
It would be of great value if @OP and Nigerians were interested in his story/message instead of the rubbish reported above.
Sanusi shared same during a landmark anniversary celebration of one of the first generation banks.

As he has said many times, population control is necessary in the North. Having children that we can't care for is sinful. Unfortunately, people hide under the "go ye and multiply" mantra to breed without control. Sadly they forget to read or ignore the fact that God states in clear terms that our children are our responsibility.

Under Buhari,
the reality is that $5 (about N2000)
is a big money.

Especially when you consider that
with minimum wage is still stuck at
N18k, with Buhari & Ngige employing all
kinds of tricks & gimmicks to stop or
delay the implementation on the N3Ok

So, the current minimum wage is $50/ month
or about $2daily..

Only God knows the damage them man
& his bunch of incompetents have done
this country.

However while waiting for her turn to ask for money to buy a drug which costs less than $5 for her baby, she lost him.

Still the almajiri mentality, only give birth according to your earning power.

in the North, Rulers are born while in the South leaders are made....

Leaders serve thier followers deligently,

Followers serve thier Rulers religiously

a Leader, gave his people free education, builds Colleges and Teaching hospitals, builds First telivission and radio station, gave his farmers seedlings and sold thier produce overseas on thier behalf

a Ruler weaponises poverty, and makes best of oppurtunities only reserved for his royal family alone

sad reality is an average Hausa Northern is a baby factory and the male are on f**king spree with reckless abandon.

Someone who can barely meet his/her daily personal needs will be popping out babies yearly like there's an award attached to it.

I don't what the North problem is: weather is religion, Culture or illiteracy.

The average northerner will claim that it's expensive to marry in Igboland, it's because of events like this, no man with few children will wish for his daughter to pass through what we see here in the North.

A man must be made to prove that he can financially support a wife before he is given one.

Meanwhile, Hausas hardly marry out of love the way you see in Nollywood movies, the rich marries ONLY the Rich and entrench their wealth while the poor marries the poor and entrench poverty, no room for fairytale of poor boy falls in love with a rich man's daughter, they will kill her the same way as if she brings a Christian man home.

shocked

Very stupid Emir shedding crocodile tears after carting away his own share of the national cake.

He directly or indirectly destroyed what is left of this shithole

He should channel his tears to his fellow born to rule brothers
