Africans are dumb.

Instead of doing a root cause analysis of inferno and make recommendations to avert and same time recommend ways to mitigate against such in the future.

They are busy praying as if their is a fire fighting station in heaven.

Not forgetting on how the traders will be able to access soft loans and bounce back within a time frame. What can prayer do in reality at this point in time.

Sincerely. Religion sneeds to be banned in Africa for a period of time.
Some Africans are good at condemning religion because of what they see the west do but would his under culture to condemn certain norms which are copied from same west

Prayers: The last refuge of a man who has no answers and lacks confidence in his abilities. Once a week, the market opens late because of prayers. 12:00pm everyday is for 15 minutes Angelus.

What could have saved the shops was water from the Fire Department. Not rocket science. Not prayers. Instead of holding the inebriated governor responsible, they are busy praying.

Why do things get worse in Nigeria with more prayers?

Onitsha market fire scene is more of a tourist centre now.
Meanwhile, stop wasting your prayers, use the same energy to be good citizens

nothing can stop the hustling spirit of an average Igbo trader, even a civil war, flooding, numerous fires cannot stop the ball from rolling,if you go to that disaster scene 6 months from now it will be rebuilt far better than it was before the fire.
