There is rot in the country generally. However, the average Nigerian woman is more responsible than the average Nigerian man. If you look around you, you will see many signs posted by businesses looking for sales girls. You will hardly see ones looking for sales boys. I wonder why.
The girls that are sleeping around are being enticed with money by men.
We constantly read about the sexual harassments of the female students in the Universities by mostly married male lecturers. We rarely read about that of female lecturers against male students. Happens but rare.

They look for sales girls because those girls use the allure of sex to sell. That isn't just Nigeria, that happens everywhere. It has nothing to do with them being more 'responsible'.

And yes, there is a general rot but it begins in almost every household in the nation. Most of these homes are established by women. Women who choose who they marry, where they live, when they have children and how many. Which brings me to my next batch of questions about these 'responsible' women...

Why is the average Nigerian woman not more responsible with her own body? Why is she having 5 children whilst living in poverty? Why do they resort to brutality to raise their children? Why so much corporal punishment?

Why are Nigerian women not shouting for better health care? Cheap or even free contraceptives? All that money that is wasted on pilgrimages and other nonsense could be used to improve the quality of life for the majority, instead Nigerian women are silent and even play into the foolishness.

And why are they so quick to rush to church and give credence to the destructive habits that take place there?

The Nigerian president has right to accept or decline any citizenship denouncement.

It would be nice to read a news article where the journalist/publication knew the difference between Dominica and the Dominican Republic, two separate countries which are hundreds of nautical miles from each other in the Caribbean. shocked

Thanks for the information.

I hope we get better in this Nation. Amen

With the way the average Nigerian votes, I doubt if your hope for a better Nigeria will be realized. I see disintegration in Nigeria's future. That might be the best option for Nigeria as the present set up is dysfunctional.

The writer is confused between Dominica and Dominican Republic, mentioning both simultaneously.

For clarity, the country in question is Dominica, the English speaking country. . . . not Dominican Republic, the Spanish speaking country which borders Haiti.

If a citizen of Neverland comes to Nigeria, commits financial crimes, and then flees to Ireland. Nigeria can still request for him to be extradited, and he'd face his charges.

If Diezani renounces her Nigerian Citizenship it still doesn't change the fact that she stole. She would still have her day in court.
I'd suggest that the FG hires some goons to kidnap her and bring her back. Isreali people de good for that kind thing.

If this information is true it shows how lazy and daft the EFCC really is.

It's been 4yrs of footdragging and now we find out she had a diplomatic passport all the while.

I'm sure the EFCC didn't know about all this otherwise why bother taking her to court.

Charles Savarin
The president of Dominica is the head of state under the system implemented by the Constitution of 1978, the year of Dominica's independence. The current president is Charles Savarin, since 2 October 2013.

Talking about Diezani while the BULLION VAN case has been swept under the carpet!

The reason I don't take this government's so called fight against corruption seriously is that they're being very hypocritical about it.

He who must come to equity must come with clean hands!

You can't shield so many corrupt men in your government and then claim you're fighting corruption!

This propaganda is getting old o.

If they cannot secure a prosecution, they should rest already.

They are putting too much time and money in trying to get someone that is obviously far from their reach, meanwhile, we have criminals in our own backyard and without 'diplomatic immunity', so what's there excuse there?

Read more here...

The EFCC in a statement said it was baffling that after four years , Diezani had still not had her day in court .

The statement read in part, “ We are intent on bringing Diezani to justice and despite the spirited efforts of the commission in ensuring that she returns to Nigeria and face trial , she has been held back in the UK by an investigation that has spanned almost four years without any signal about when she will be available in Nigeria for prosecution.

“ The EFCC has been frustrated over Diezani , a development that prompted it to seek her extradition to Nigeria , so that she can have her day in court . ”

The former minister is alleged to have diverted billions of dollars and purchased choice properties in several parts of the world .
Diezani ’ s cash and properties as well as those linked to her , worth over $ 250 m , including jewellery, have been forfeited permanently to the Federal Government by an order of court .

She came from an oil producing state, nigeria survives from the oil and gas resources that comes from her state so she only took what rightly belongs to her. Those calling her thief are the real economic thieves here they have been stealing from her God given natural resources for decades without shame or remorse.
