why do members of our armed forces - army and navy in particular, think that they are more important than the citizens? in western countries, these people are usually not heard of. their only duty should be to defend the country and protect the citizens from civil unrest, but in nigeria, you better not cross these people in uniform if you don't want to hear the proverbial and very arsinine "do you know who i am" nonsense--- that is if they don't end up killing or seriously hurting you?

I don't think soliloquizing should be allowed in the political section.
How can someone just wake up from some deep slumber and start asking the world questions that plagued his/her dreams? undecided

Dear moderators, is there a hallucinating section on NL where some can ease/relieve themselves around here?

No offense please.

The next thing we shall read is a thread starting with:

Who let the dogs out? Woo woo woo woo. . . .

Well said. In Western countries, you can spend years without ever seeing a single soldier on the streets. Nigeria's situation is truly pathetic; they are not only everywhere, but are actively intimidating the public they have sworn to protect, beating and shooting the young and the old, ra'ping our daughters when sent on missions that other countries would send their police forces on. It is an absolute disgrace.

What Nigeria needs, is a modern, high tech police force not a crude army on our streets.

Dude, its years of military rule that has led us to this.

Until we have a president who never experienced military rule.

So wait till your grand kids are in the university whether you're here or not
