You know that things are no longer at ease when Nigeria is named along with other failed states like North Korea, Afghanistan, and Somalia as banned from the US. Sooner or later other Western countries would follow suit. Nigeria claims to be the giant of Africa but that's nothing but an illusionary mantra. It has absolutely nothing going for it other than its population, which a lot of people would argue is not a great thing. Other smaller countries in Africa, such as Ghana has more respect than Nigeria would ever get again. The rulers (not leaders) of this country ought to be very ashamed of themselves for the dire condition the country is in. I feel sorry for the citizens because they are not respected both at home and abroad...they are pariahs in the comity of nations.

Atiku Abubakar, former presidential candidate on the platform of the PDP in the last presidential election, posted a couple of tweets in reaction to the travel ban against Nigeria, expressing sadness and stating reasons why he believed the US should reconsider its decision against Nigeria

Funny enough its we that chose PMB so USA is just in its decision. I know many APC members that go to USA like its Ibadan and those that voted for him that are now permanently in the USA.
The ban could have been worse but FG wisely released Sowore.

WHEN THAT MIDGET CALLED NASIR EL RUFAI WAS BUSY THREATENING THAT WESTERN ELECTION OBSERVERS WILL LEAVE NIGERIA IN BODY BAGS BECAUSE THEY RAISED CONCERNS WHY THE PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION OF 2019 WAS POSTPONED, WHAT DID BUHARI DO? Did he ask El RUFAI to apologize for that reckless statement?

NO. HE DIDNT...

This is the result of such stupid and toxic statements made by a leader of the ruling party and close ally of the president of the federal republic of Nigeria!

Some kids here with their tiny brains praising trump for his racist decision to ban Nigerian immigrants.

Nigerians are one of the best educated immigrant groups. 17 percent of Nigerians in the US hold a master's degree while 4 percent have a doctorate. The corresponding numbers for white Americans are 8 percent and 1 percent.

Trump has made disparaging comments about African nations in the past, complaining that Nigerians who entered the United States on visas would never “go back to their huts.”. He is a racist white supremacist asshole whose entire domestic & foreign policy has been based on reversing everything the first black American president did.

Fifteen of the 19 '9/11' plane hijackers were citizens of Saudi Arabia, two were from the United Arab Emirates, one from Lebanon, and one from Egypt. None of their citizens has been placed on a travel ban list but Nigerians that have been a net positive to America gets put on a list. Madness!

The self hatred being exhibited by our brothers from the east is uncanny. They are happy for the whole country to be nuked out of existence, including themselves, their families and their homeland because of their hatred for buhari.

US hostile policy towards Nigeria did not start from Buhari. The Ban on Nigerians participating in the DV lottery program has been in place for over 5 years. US embassy had unofficially placed a ban on Nigerians travelling to US for years, as most Nigerians applying for visa were rejected for no just reason.Trump just made it official.

What's exactly is Nigeria gaining from the US? The last military cooperation was during the time of Obasanjo. The Military cooperation became suspicious, when they pushed for the formation of AFRICON and a base in the Gulf of Guinea. They also wanted information on Nigeria's military formation which Obasanjo refused.

Trump had never hid his personal disdain for Nigeria and Nigerians. If he had his way, he would deport all Nigerians back home.

We appeal to the United States Government to ONLY target Mohammedians, I mean anyone found to have supported this fraudulent regime of Mohomodu Buhari.

- ALL APC members and supporters including all their family members

- Any Nigerian in the United States who have at any point supported this bloody regime should be deported immediately without any parole.

- The US should start by checking their social media accounts and understand their political inclinations, & without delay deport them to the SHITHOLE.

Thank you Donald.

Well spoken by the real winner of the 2019 Presidential election. Buhari has taken Nigeria many years back. Whoever becomes President in 2023 will have his job cut out for him in trying to repair the damage caused by Buhari.

Once again, I call on President Donald Trump to consider adopting measures that individually target those in government who have failed in their duties, rather than target the entire Nigerian population.

God bless Nigeria. God bless America.

Even the most progressive of American leaders like Kennedy and Clinton did not actually care for the plight of poor Africans, let alone Trump. No Western nation actually care for the plight of poor Africans, Trump isn’t targeting Nigeria and Nigerians because he cares for you, he does not and will not attack Nigerian leaders because he cares about injustices or corruption. No nation outside Africa hates or targets Nigerians because of corruptions or criminality. The world does not work like that. None of Trumps policy towards Nigerian emigrants has anything to do with actually breaking of any rules, those are just excuses. If not visa, something else would have been found.

It is not about Visa it is about Nigerian community in America not having enough influence in the power structure commensurate with her threat level in the eyes of racists in the power structure.

This show above probably motivated Trump more than any overstaying Nigerian immigrants did in the system. ADOS African Americans resented it. Forget Islam or terrorism threat, those are mere enabling excuses.

People like you are the problem, just blabbing with no solution, you bought cars, what kind, 7 Series BMW's, or S- 600 Mercedes? Useless Donald Trump, let those ipob zombies be singing his praises, thinking it affects the President, President Buhari's children will still enter Yankee with private jet, TSA will go and clear them in their aircraft.

Nay, people like you are the real problem of this country. We are no paid to think for the president. He has paid advisers, technical advisers and aides for that.

The children of the president will enter Yankee but yours and other Nigerians cannot because they do not have private jets or use Nigeria tax payers resources.

Dude this is what we are fighting for?

What makes his children any more privileged than yours!?

Or what makes them more Nigerian than yours.

make the country good so all man children rich or poor do not need visa to enter anywhere, as no one will need to leave this country if all things are okay.
Did you hear Americans, Europeans leaving their countries to Nigeria for immigration purpose except for expatriate jobs?

Don't resign to the fate this country offers you, for then the man in you is dead.

If not for you, at least for the kids you are leaving behind.

"Nigeria’s Ambassador to the United States: This is the man that represents Nigeria interest in the USA, Sylvanus Nsofor.

https://twitter.com/BrianJDennis/status/1223633102892867586?s=20

President Buhari renominated Nsofor at the end of March and after a more subdued appearance before the senate, he was confirmed to be an ambassador on June 7.

Nsofor was born March 17, 1935, in Oguta, Imo State, Nigeria. He graduated from London’s now-defunct Holborn College of Law in 1962 and added an LL.M from the London School of Economics in 1964. His official Age is 84 but his official age looks more like 94
