Are they not your underage-voter army? Relax, they will guarantee power remains with the North forever. All is well, don't panic.

There is nothing worse than Boko haram
They kill, steal and destroy and that is what the devil represent.
The North should manage their human capital development and utilize their population strength instead of becoming a menace to the entire populace.
Sultan, Emirs etc, do the needful by educating and enlightening your people on the need for birth control

True. Leaders have to stand up to duty to give those countless Almajiris a sense of purpose now before terrorism win them over. And sincerely, it will not be their fault; no one is teaching them societal values.

Biafrans!!! This is why we cannot afford to remain in zoogeria for one more second!!!

The population explosion of almajiris in the north (conservatively beginning at 20-25 millions) is, in a decade or two, going to provide an inexhaustible supply of jihadists/terrorists/extremists that will definitely be coming over to the south for conquest!!!

Stop being politically correct!!! Visit the north (by air and not by road before you get kidnapped) and see things for yourself!!!

Kids are eating out of trash cans and you can bet your last cent that these kids are going to be mad with the society once they bulk up!!!

Ka anyi jiri ehihie chuwa ewu ojii ndi be anyi ooh!!!!!!!!
Please be specific when you say the North. Plateau is in the north...same as Benue, Taraba, Nasarawa, Kogi etc and they don't have almajiris as you claim. The only unsafe place in the north is Kaduna axis and some north eastern states like Borno which still has bokoharam. There are 19 states in the north and I sometimes see that you guys probably use only 2-4 core northern states to define the whole north

Almajiri system in Northern Nigeria will always be their doom.
What I keep wondering is that without Islam in the North, would their lifestyle and mindset have been like it is today.

Sultan of Sokoto Saad Abubakar has warned that the north may witness a bigger catastrophe that than the Boko Haram insurgency.

He pointed out the level of orphans in the region was alarming, saying it could snowball into something that “would turn out to be worse than the Boko Haram”.

The Sultan also kicked against the establishment of an outfit in the region code-named “Operation Shege-Ka-Fasa”, cautioning elites not to allow youths take over their roles.

We are in a new decade, new radicals evolve every 10yrs.
In the 90s it was Matsatsine, and we are yet to curtail Bokoharam.

It's nemesis and it will consume the north. You failed to give education to these men when they were kids and reduced them to Almajiris, who became near- useless to society. Now that they've come full circle, you have no where to hide. They moment of reckoning is here.

Was it not just a few days ago that a supposedly law maker was foolishly encouraging marrying many wives and having to many children?
The biggest problem in the north is illiteracy and stupidity of religions beliefs.

If you wake up to log in to NL to learn about the bad news about the country or for tribal masochism, and spend the next 1 hour on facebook or twitter looking at the latest news or trends, then spend another 1 hour on whatsapp looking at peoples' status and personal lifestyle, then spend the evenings to go watch how Chelsea should win or how Barcelona should fail...then keep logging off and on NL to see how many likes or mentions you have had...

then I put it to you that if you continue this trend for the next 2-3 years, especially if you are a youth that has a bright future ahead, the likelihood that you'll end up as a failure in life is high.

If you put all the minutes you spend on unproductive things online, it's enough to find a bearing for your life and loved ones even in the midst of the hardship all around. Hope you read this this rotten meat seller
It depends. I open NL others when I am in a transit eg. Inside transport which I am now.

Say Almajiri not orphans. The Northern political leadership has failed in all ramifications. The bulk of North west and east of the Country is a time bomb that will explode most things being equal in 10 years from now. The poverty is alarming, and the uneducated youths stuffed with dangerous religious ideologies are in millions.
