name one fergie team that has not relied on wing play - that is our way! from giggs to beckham to ronaldo to nani to bebe. it's one area fergie invests heavily.
martin o'neill also wanted that method but the lack of funds in aston villa meant the quality wasn't really up to scratch. but they played well with young, milner, etc. . . .

guarin is decent but i have been mostly impressed with alexi sanchez - he has been the star of the tournament!

That is why I said we need flexibility . . . I'm totally for wing play (I'm a badass winger myself cheesy)
If we cant penetrate through the wings, can we go through the middle? We cant be too reliant on wing play.

What is the update on Valencia's ankle injury?

buy us de rossi, schweinsteiger, tiote, and we will play through the middle.

The rumor on Bro. Sneider is getting thicker.
Is SAF or Mr. Gill somewhere in Milan in some talks?

Abi na just gossips?
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by tkb417(m): 9:56am On Jul 13, 2011
35m and the kind of salary Wesley is on makes that story a bit confusing, Will he come to United to earn more or be contented with what he earns now? If he's contented with what he earns now, then why would he wanna move his family away from Milan to Manchester? Not even London

I don't know why anyone isn't looking at De Rossi and really, do we need players like Sneidjer? We need someone who can hold ball in the middle, Rooney/Berba/Young and Hernandez are just perfect for our Attacking options

Modric, Bastian, De Rossi - any of these should be the ideal player in our middle.

That Alcantara boi too can play footie. Dunno why the hediot signed to keep his ass glued to bench for life.

If we can't get the marquee ones, go to Argentina, Mexico or Ukraine and get me a good bargain. A 8milla who will do a Modric if given the chance

Hernandez is a testament that we don't necessarily need the big names to get our mojo on.

Apparently SAF has confirmed we are bidding for Wesley, but Inter are playing hard ball and don't want to sell.

Imagine one club going about its transfer business with decorum, signing one young player and a Ligue 1 winner while another is crying in the press over Citeh refusing to sell them a crock whose pedigree doesn't go beyond benchwarming while Ozil and co did the business at the WC.
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by dayokanu(m): 8:05pm On Jul 13, 2011
One club has been trophyless for 6yrs

The other has signed the best keeper in Europe, A top rated Right back, A back up striker, A young player

While the uselessone is still running medicals for Abija wara bi ekun Papa Ajasco wanabee

Boateng started vs Ghana, England, Argentina and Spain at the world cup. Infact he started more world cup games than Fabregas
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by debosky(m): 8:13pm On Jul 13, 2011
One club is calling for UEFA to ban another club simply because they want a player they cannot afford.

Brokeass butt munchers.  tongue

Best GK in Europe that conceded 6 goals against Utd in two games? Even Almunia at his worst didn't do that badly. grin

Best GK in Europe yet Anderson that couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo scored twice against him. cheesy cheesy

chamotex,

david gill flew from switzerland to milan. . . . .a rumoured bid of €39m. . . . .sneijder wants at least the €215,000 per week he earns at inter-milan. inter fans want him as a straight swap for luiz nani. sneijder won't go to malaga(the new citeh of la liga) and. . . . . .

bebe has done it again. . . . .scored on his debut for besiktas. he's got simao, quaresma and almeida as team-mates down there. my bet is on bebe winning the mvp of the next season's europa league. wink
Re: Manchester United Fan Thread: In Fergie We Trust! by debosky(m): 9:12pm On Jul 13, 2011
What has he done again? Scoring on his debut before fading into obscurity? cheesy

Bebe must be a marketing genius though - his picture should be right next to 'flatter to deceive' in the dictionary. grin grin grin

Honestly, I think its too much.
With Sneijder, we will have to play with 5 in midfield wont we? I don't think we can play Sneijder in a 4-4-2 formation.
Plus he could be a disruptive influence in the team . . . he is a moaner.
He doesnt get on V.Persie and RvN and a couple of other guys in the dutch team.

I think all Bebe needs is confidence and a lot of playing times . . . I believe he could be a better player when he gets back.
He could be spear-heading our attack against teams like Arsenal and Chelsea next year grin grin grin

39milla for Sneijder shocked

this is turning into a big joke ~ why don't we just go and sign one of 'em Japanese ladies, they'd do a better job for far less!

God,please screw up this deal.
put a spanner in the work.
Let it not come to pass.
39mil for what?
215k a week for what?

The only problem is that there aren't many free established midfield "generals" available. . .that's why you might be hearing a lot more of this deal.
Otherwise I'm not ecstatic about the dude.
As talented as he might be,if the Veron incident is anything to go by,we could be in for a reprise, after splashing so much cash.

too old?
de rossi is perfect and if we can get a position for sneijder, he will be perfect as well. midfielders can be very old and still perform - giggs, scholes, xavi, lampard, gerrard, etc. i hope we get wesley sneijder - i just dunno where he would play cos getting him would mean the end of fergie's adored 4-4-2 formation.

I saw a rasta, Grenada guy playing for the Revolution against UTD last night. . . . . . . decent midfielder, covers ground, good ball control and passing ~ wouldn't mind having him in the squad!
