Yes, a lift is an indispensable part of a high rise building like the one he is describing. And in the present day Nigeria with very limited or no power supply, a lift is a no no in a private housing arrangement in most cities in Nigeria. People may not afford the rent because of the very high cost of operating the building.

There are so many high rise residential buildings in Ikoyi as we speak. I know of one on courts road: 16 floors & definitely with a lift. The residential apartments are purchased (not rental) & the occupants operates an estate management system which sees to it that the essentials e.g power, water, security, facility maintenance, waste management are being handled privately.

It's for the super big boys!

That is the idea behind Rainbow Town in Transamadi Industrial Layout, in Port Harcourt. The residential high rise are all 10-12 floors.

No, it cannot be calculated like that. When we talk of a high rise like a 9 storey building, a lot of other consideration comes into play. The method of construction, materials, and especially the plans needs to change to support the height of the structure. It might be much more than the amount you mentioned.

The plans determine the costs, any other thing is guesswork.

We did more work on this decking today.......

Doing final checks just before we start this concrete cast.......

Final inspections, checking all works before receiving concrete.......

We must do a sweep, to make sure that all debris of wood, plastic and iron are removed from the decking platform to ensure a save working environment......
