rusher14:Borrowing ordinarily is essential for a county like Nigeria. We need it critically for infrastructure. The real truth is that we don't trust buhari with that kind of responsibility. In the hands of a detribalized, cerebral leader, $25b would be a massive weapon for industrialization. But a Buhari would borrow that same money and waste it on roads and rails linking borno to kafanchan, while key industrial sectors in other parts of the country get zero or nearly zero. It would be a useless debt. I'd rather not borrow, than have it wasted on hopeless ventures. 1 Like |

udemzyudex: Because Nigeria do not know how to transform those minerals into wealth. Loves rice but imports most of it and resists when it is being asked to produce same locally Cannot make solar panels but have more silicon and sunlight than most countries. Cannot produce electricity despite having gas, natural dams and coastal areas for wind farms. Cannot produce transformers despite the raw materials being in abundance. Cannot produce paper despite wood and clay. Imports most of her clothes despite the land being arable for cotton cultivation. 2 Likes |

RTSC: What is wrong with having roads leading to kafanchan? Are you amongst the Nigerians that were resisting the country borrowing for rail across the federation in 2015? How do you feel now when you see rail lines in SW as well as Itakpe? If your first reason for resisting is primitive you would continue to live in a primitive country. |
