On Thursday February 10,2022 me and my family Booked a date for IW Dropbox, So on that day my mum went to drop the documents and our passports of 5 people that was how they didn’t collect my own passport from her I still don’t know the reason up till now ,my mum couldn’t explain to me well she just said it’s like the ds160 number is incorrect or something, she doesn’t really understand English that was how she started crying in the place and started shouting you know when someone dies in a Yoruba movie that how it was I wasn’t there tho but she told me it was serious that they didn’t collect it on her way out getting to the car that was how a white man VO told a police to call her then the White man asked what happened then she explained that was how they finally collected my passport. Alhamdulilai
I wonder what I did cause I’m eligibility for the IW and all Wow, thank God it was finally collected. But will like to ask, how were you able to book same date for 5 people. We have been trying just for 2 and couldn't get |

I wonder what I did cause I’m eligibility for the IW and all What time did you get the booking for IW on 10th of February? Did you submit your DS160 before you were able to book appointment? I have been searching for date but not able to get any, always appointment currently not available. Please what did you do differently? Please help me, by March 1st, I will no longer be qualify for IW because it will be 24months that my Visa expire. Thank you. |

The difficulty in getting the IW date is simply server overload.
To put it in context, keeping up with every new comment on this thread is more tedious compared to 30 days ago. And this is just a tiny percentage of Nigerians trying to get the IW dates. Extrapolating to the whole country can paint a picture of the number of people on the site at every given point.
Server overload happens when conditions cause a server to exhaust its resources so that it fails to handle incoming requests. 2 Likes |

I learnt that they book appointments like regular people with a filled information which usually contains data completely different from yours that you know nothing about and now that data will be permanently part of your immigration records. I'm not sure it will be good to do this to avoid problems with immigration in the future. Please enlighten me
As a rule of thumb, I always advocate for DIY and to avoid visa agents The visa officer expects you to dissuade the notion you are an intending immigrant (japa) who will abuse the B1/B2 visa. Your task as an applicant is to achieve that and satisfy conditions to prove you are a genuine non-immigrant visitor. This is done with your DS160 information and the 60 to 180 seconds during your interview. The agents create a profile of who and what you are not and fills it in your DS160. He then tutors you on how to defend the false profile during the interview in a bid to achieve the above. The thing is the US Embassy saves that false profile, and the next time you come with your real profile, you are now having dual personality which is either said to be a lie or you have lied in the past to them. Remember you attest that all info is true and correct xyz. EG. A senior medical consultant at a private hospital wanting to attend a medical conference 2 years ago is now applying to go on vacation with a profile that shows she has been a risk auditor at a MFB for the past 5 years. 5 Likes 1 Share |
