If they can't fire or threaten to fire those under them, then you've removed all the powers from them. I'm not saying that a free and fair trial shouldn't be observed but I'm sure that no minister would fire any CEO without extremely concrete evidence. Trials and hearings can take several months and these criminals would keep looting and enjoying our Common wealth

It has never sounded right for a minister who never appointed an official and who was also appointed by the president to sack someone who was appointed by the same president. The appointing authority and sacking authority should be the same.

It's okay, I worked with the federal ministry of labour and employment and resigned as an administrative officer level 09 to do better things with my life. I happened to work in the office of the honourable minister and I can tell you first hand that some ministers truly mean well for the country.
The SGF no doubt supercedes the ministers but I think there's a good reason why the ministers are put in charge of ministries. The SGF throughout my stay in the ministry never set foot in my ministry so how can he then get first hand information about things than the minister?
