Even males demonize/tarnish their exes reputation, it is not only females that do it.
When people break up, they mostly choose the narrative that makes them a saint.

As for the rape issues, this is Nigeria where visiting of a guy's house means you have already consented to sex. The rape cases would be more higher than this if all victims choose to come out.

Women generally have issues with taking any kind of responsibility for their actions.
Unless she has reached a certain level of maturity, most women get off on social sympathy and so must always see the need to project themselves as angels in every story they recount about something.

This is because to a woman, her social reputation of "purity" matters a lot...so good luck meeting a woman who has done the growth work needed to be able to stand as an adult to incorporate the phrase "I said/did some things I was not proud of(that might have hurt him) and I wasn't perfect..." when talking about past relationships. Some won't even use that phrase even if she cheated.

Personally, I tend to only truly have sympathy for a woman when she is mature enough to be real about the role she played in matters.
