The Cheapest Network To Call Now Is Etisalat by ola20: 6:37am On Jan 22, 2011
Hello fellow Nigerians, the cheapest network to call now in Nigeria is etisalat ,because 4 etisalat u will pay twenty naira 4 daily access charge everyday and ur call rate is 25k per sec any network ,

Airtel come out with big wayo say dat make will dial *446# to enjoy 20k per sec.dis na lair ,what it means is dat will be charge 60k per sec for a mins and then 20k per sec for any network.what they are telling is dat you will pay thirty six naira everyday 4 the first 1 mins call to made.that means your access charge every day is thirty six naira.

Also our yellow brother come join dis wayo another also say make will text 401 to 131 to 50k per sec for the 1st mins call, later reduce to 25k per sec. that mean say ur access charge everyday is thirty naira,

my fellow nigerian now which network cheap past among the 3 wayo network. start voting now.

how many people dey use dat terrorist-owned network dat is very unreliable and d data services very epileptic? I rather av quality service with reasonable rates to one that has hidden charges. 4 now let me stick with my MTN and use Glo as my backup. Etisalat ko, Eti-osa ni.
Re: The Cheapest Network To Call Now Is Etisalat by toba: 9:39am On Jan 22, 2011
op you need to do more maths before concluding. Let me help u.
N100 as a case study on the 3 networks
Etisalat N100 -N20(access charge)= N80 then N15/min will give u 5.3mins

Airtel N100-N36(1st minute)=N64 gives u N12/min totaling 5.3mins

Mtn N100- N30(1st minute)= N70 which gives u N15/min and 4.6mins

Pls judge for ur self taking into consideration performance of each network.

@ toba N100 airtel will give u total of 6.3mins wish makes it the cheapest among all the network.
N200 airtel will give you total of 14.5mins, no network can beat that.

guys u are correct about 6.3mins from Airtel, after all the 1st minute that one pays N36 for must also be added unlike Etisalat that takes away ur N20 without giving any minute(s) in return

The N36 for the first minute is it for the first minute of the day? i think its the first minute of each call
if it is the latter the mtn and airtel own makes sense only if u make loong calls,

The calculation for the cheapest network today in Nigeria goes like this:
Based on #100 air time
Etisalat = 100-20 = 80.
80/15 = 5.3 min on all Ntwk

Airtel 100-36 = 64 +1min
64/12 = 6.3min on all Ntwk

MTN 100-30 = 70+ 1min
70/15 = 5.6mins on MTN Ntwk alone

GLO 100/15 = 6.7mins on All Ntwrk

Based on this, Glo is the best and closely follwed by AIrtel, then Etisalat.

@POSTER
DO UR SIMPLE MATHEMATICS>ETISALAT IS CHARGING U N20 AS AN ACCESS FEE AND THAT DOES NOT INCLUDE THE FIRST ONE MINUTE U MAKE.(which means u'll still ve to pay N15 for other calls)NOW ADD UR ACCESS FEE TO THE N15 URE CHARGED FOR UR CALLS,HOW MUCH DO U GET IN ALL=N35.WHILE AIRTEL CHARGES N36 WHICH IS FOR THE FIRST ONE MINUTE THEN THE OTHER CALLS U MAKE ARE N12 per MINUTE.now which is cheaper?

Do you have to repeat Toba's post to make your point?
