Like Turkey, Egypte, Tunisia ...... Just like Nigeria. by omanzo02: 6:09pm On Jan 29, 2011
The way some people on here just compare things without real fact and physical proof is really lamentable, I sometime wonders what they are trying to prove, I go to Egypte, Tunisia, Turkey and the carribean on holiday on a regular basis, and I have toured a great part of the country sides and remote villages, honestly speaking, majority of the populace still lived in shacked houses like we have in Nigeria, rampant power failure, runs transportation with riketty danfo and coaster buses, bad roads etc.

Places like Turkey that attract 30 million tourist per year are not better than the Nigeria we talked so bad about, Comparing the city center of Istanbul, Tunis and Cairo with the who of Nigeria is actually not fair, If u go to the holiday hot spot in Turkey like Antalya, Side, Alanya, Mamaris, Bodrum, Kusadasi etc, they still experience  rampant power failure and most of the hotels and companies still have a standby generators,  they uses mostly Domus ( turkish danfo) like u find all over Nigeria, runs similar bazaar (market) like we have in oshodi, alaba, onisha, tejuosho market in yaba etc, corruption is still rampant like in Nigeria. They still farm and harvest with hard labour in those countries like we do in Nigeria. Even with their longer existence Nigeria have come to catched up with them in terms of development.

Just looking at pictures taken from a beautiful part of a country is not enough reasons to draw your line of judgement . If Nigeria can have a bit more goals oriented organisational structure, we could surpass those countries 2 fold.

@Ma_J_Blige,

Nigeria may not be at its best but I am proud of her, I'm trying to tell the people who uses Egypte, Tunisia and Morocco as a basis to compare Nigeria to look farther.

The pictures tells u how the common man in those countries lives compares Nigeria ands not as it has been over exaggerated by some shallow heads who have'nt been there at all. If u go to holidays bronchures u will think Egypte is heaven on earth, but in reality its not, Cairo is as choatic and crowdy as Lagos, the pictures we see of Hotels environment, Historic places is to lure tourist, but is actually different from the pictures u see with your real eyes about the common way of life there.

Some people on here that claimed to be in advanced countries just side in the comfort of their homes to make unless comparism, non of them ever leave their home to take part in community discussion to have an idea how their community works, dont expand their networks of friends and like minds, never hoop on the plane to visit other countries to see things for themselves. U always find them in the same Nigerians setup discussing Nigeria based on "hear says", I see them in places like Gazenhoff and Bijmermeer in The Netherlands and Antwerp in Belgium, I'm not against associating with Nigerians, but I find it wise the expand ones network of friends and associates beyond your boundries to have an idea how others live and develope. If u ask them for example how transportation here is developed they dont even have a clue. they just answer it's superb.
