You cannot brute force the PIN being that you have a limited amount of trials before it is locked.

No doubt, you definitely need an insider to provide you the PIN.

Just set a sim code for your sim card. If they remove it and insert it into another phone, without them knowing the sim code. The sim is useless to them.

And yes, illegal SIM swaps are a problem worldwide these days. A guy in the US lost $12 million after someone retrieved his SIM.

how can you retrieve my sim when you don't even know the number. Just activate PUK lock on your sim, you are safe.

The thing is though, the process of retrieving a SIM card in Nigeria has become very stringent even more so than most countries. These fools definitely have an insider helping them. Maybe the insider uses proxies to relate with them so they are unaware of his existence but someone is feeding them information.

Then one should get a new sim strictly for his bank account. If that one get lost again, buy a new sim again. Go to your bank for change of phone number and use the new sim.
