one day your daughter (born or unborn may be raped or harassed or raped to death by men) or if she ends up married, beaten to death by her husband.... or even if the husband is not violent, maybe male armed robbers or boko haram or reckless male drivers... or killed by an ex-husband out of jealousy- the violence rate of men is stunning. obviously women are not saints and can be violent too but men are disproportionately violent. then violence between men is another story all together - men murder themselves over the smallest things....

You are more likely to be killed by a man than by a woman all things being equal - female murders tend to be motivated by money (same as men) or convenience.... however male murders could be for the slightest thing often over an ego or power tussle and is often tied to sex e.g. rape to death.
