raii: Anybody got info on memorial hermann in houston. The reviews I got about them weren't good. Unhelpful nurses, do not encourage womanly delivery or breastfeeding etc. A woman actually said a nurse came to check her baby and after seeing that the baby had pooped, she just closed d diaper back n walked away. It was one of her visitors who was shocked that eventually cleaned up the baby. Well the favour of God can give u an angelic nurse 1 Like |

Any one planning for Sacramento county, California. I m wondering if anyone can help me this. I did searched on google, but no luck. |
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by dsaynt: 2:33pm On Sep 24, 2014 |
yabilalz: Hi, could you do any other counties apart from the Citrus Height Area? you could check nearby counties. Cos my baby was born in a nearby county from the county I was staying in. California is not that expensive if you do your research well. I would have suggested mine at Pomona Valley but thats like 6hrs driving. Just take your time and use google. Then go to their websites and get info then follow up with an email. Good luck sha. I'm sure with patience you'd get something good. |

yabilalz: Well i've heard that Sutter Memorial Hospital and Kaiser Permanente are extremely good. These are hospitals in the Sacramento County area. Don't know much about their prices but I hear they are quite good. Like someone suggested earlier, google is your friend. Follow up with emails/phone calls. You could also ask your relatives/friends to go there and check it out. Good thing about American hospitals, they are willing to show you around and even have scheduled tours for intending mothers. So ask your people there to check it out for you. Good luck |

CBS/AP/September 22, 2014, 5:04 AM More than 740 exposed to TB in El Paso nursery EL PASO, Texas -- More than 700 patients and 40 employees were exposed to an employee in a West Texas hospital nursery who had an active case of tuberculosis, the El Paso Department of Public Health says. The exposure took place over a period of about a year, from September 2013 through last month, when the employee of Providence Memorial Hospital tested positive for TB and was placed on leave. The hospital is working closely with the health department to determine which infants and employees may have been exposed. The families of each patient will be contacted by phone and certified letter with screening instructions for their babies, health officials say. So far, 706 patients and 43 exposed employees have been identified, the department says. The post-exposure screenings and follow-up will be provided free through the DPH and the hospital. Public Health officials are working with state officials and the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to facilitate the screenings. Tuberculosis can be spread when a person with active TB coughs or sneezes, releasing secretion droplets with the germs into the air, explains CBS El Paso affiliate KDBC-TV. However, TB isn't highly contagious and generally requires close contact over an extended period of time to spread. Once in the body, KDBC says, the bacteria usually lay dormant for months or years before they begin to grow and cause an active case of TB. That's is why it's so important to identify people who may have been exposed, screen them, and provide treatment that can prevent them from developing active TB. Only those with active TB can spread it to others. The hospital says it will work with federal authorities to show its procedures were adequate. A Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services deputy regional administrator, David Wright, says an inspection of the hospital by regulators revealed several violations. He says the violations could threaten the hospital's Medicare funding and posed "an immediate jeopardy to patient safety." Providence Memorial spokeswoman Audrey Garcia says hospital officials look forward to collaborating with CMS to prove their actions were effective. . © 2014 CBS Interactive Inc. All Rights Reserved. @GenoMi, from the appointment booking I got from Dr Oduro's office now, there is an extra charge of 700-1000 dollars if you are using epidural. Also, when I called the hospital was told that if the baby is healthy, I should budget 1500 for hearing test. Please can you help confirm from your friend, abi na MIHS shock still dey affect my ears. |
