Police uncover plot to stone Jonathan in Zamfara

Four members of the Zamfara State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) were arrested by the police in connection with the plan to stone President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo during their campaign visit to the state scheduled on Monday.
Sources revealed to Daily Independent that the suspected persons were arrested by the police (name withheld) included a tailor, who was given a contract of sewing All Nigerian Peoples Party (ANPP) clothes to be worn by the PDP members with which to disguise and stone the visiting PDP Presidential flag-bearers thereby causing chaos in the state.
It was further revealed that the arrested persons had mentioned the names of some PDP leaders of the state, who were alleged to be the brain behind the deal, claiming that huge amount of money was said to be released to ensure the success of the plan.
The report also disclosed that, the plan failed following information given to the State Security Service (SSS) by one of the planners of the plot, who was said to have been underpaid.
The four were reportedly arrested while waiting to be paid the balance of amount promised them at the Government House in Gusau, the capital of the state.
Meanwhile, the state Commissioner of Police, Fatai Adio Shittu, at the press conference, confirmed the arrest of the syndicate intending to cause unrest and rancour during the Presidential campaign visit on Monday in the state.
Shittu said that the command would not hesitate to deal any group of people or individual, who intended to sabotage the Presidential visit to the state, adding that security personnel had since been deployed to strategic places to monitor and prevent the occurrence of any unlawful act to breach the peace.

If this plan was not foiled, they would have said it's Buhari that sent them, and the CPC guber aspirant probably arrested.

Remote message: even PDP members will not vote for GEJ in presidential elections many northern states, if party members that even go to the extent of stoning their presidential candidate. In Kano, popular as thier PDP guber candidate Kwankwanso is, it's Sai Kwankwaso, Sai Buhari. Same story in Gombe where shouts of Buhari overtook PDP rally.

Our president, whether we agree with his policies or not, must be respected.

However I am not sure that believe the report - we have a lot of mischievous journalist working in the tabloid newspapers.

The wider story is that Ciroma and many of his folks truely/actually/fully believe that this presidency belongs to them.
It's obvious that there's a grand paymaster at the top of the food chain, and this is not surprising, because the president's public appearances have been disrupted by well organized incidents of bomb blasts and mayhem.
The ordinary Nigerian areaboy or almajiri doesn't have acces to TNT or other bomb making materials, it's elements sympathetic to Ciroma and his group in the army---active or retired that's threatening the president anywhere he goes.
It's not a random act, but a well cordinated activity.
Because it's well cordinated, it can't be used as a spontenous guage of the president's approval in the area. We're all watching cool

But why stoning the president? what good does this stoning will do to this people? Stoning and stoning I guess they think they are embarrasse the president rather they are embarrassing themselves as they would be label as usual "Babaric People" because I dont understand this stoning madness as if we are still living in stoneage time so nasty indeed.

All this in the name of zonning, Religious, Tribalism. If GEJ is Hausa man all we will hear is Rankadede isnit?

If the president is muslim they would say is an act of God (Allah Akbar) is that not right?

If Nigeria has allowed zoning to be imposed on them as Goat Ciroma want they will yeah we are born to rule isnit?

Its untill every Nigerian realised that what is behind all this was not just hatred for GEJ but these people just want to rule this country forever this is just the simple truth and failure to ahieve this they want to turn Nigeria upside down. But the great question is Can all of us fold our arms seen this rule for life dram stand??

If they are a treu muslim they should know what the Qu'aran says about an act of God and they should know as the holy book said that whatever man become in life or whatever happens in life  Allah knows about it so I dont understand there grieveances now?
