Jonathan was voted because of ineptitude. He became a follower rather than the leader! unfortunately our leaders replaced him with far more worse option. Guess they were myopic.
Jonathan was a weakling but he was approachable at least...

What do you do with a Buhari?

[s][/s]In 2015, the Yorubas had 2 options:
(1). To vote for Goodluck Jonathan
(2). To vote for Muhammad Buhari.
They chose the latter. Their reason was because GEJ was from a minority group in the South South of the country. They also accused GEJ of running an omo-ibo government & they protested against his gov. using the hashtag #OccupyNigeria with all their politicians, religious leaders, obas, entertainers, wole soyinka etc.
6 years down the line Nigeria has been littered with Fulani terrorists from Chad, Mali, Niger republic especially in the South West killing their men, raping their wives & claiming their ancestral lands.
Where are the #OccupyNigeria folks? Where is Tinubu? where is Tunde Bakare? where is wole soyinka? where is Jide Kosoko? where is that useless Oba who threatened people to vote for Buhari or be thrown into the lagoon?
The day we Nigerians stop choosing our leaders based on tribal and religious sentiments is the day we'll start experiencing a better Nigeria.

Arewa in Yoruba language means beauty

The Yoruba word for beauty has different pronunciation (when you consider the stress pattern) and the spelling changes the moment you put the 'dot' under letter 'e'

[s][/s]If Jonathan betrayed the Yoruba people(according to you), what has Buhari done for the Yoruba people? How has osinbajo's vice presidency benefitted Yoruba people? asides being a mere commissioner telling lies against the former admin, going for condolence visits & running errands for illiterate Fulani cabals what pro-yoruba policy has osinbajo created since 2015?
Buhari has not only betrayed the Yorubas. He is currently killing them, killing Yoruba soldiers in the military and airforce(Late miss Arotile) & claiming their ancestral lands. Mind you, the once great Oyo empire is now becoming a Fulani caliphate. If not for Sunday Igboho who is standing against these jihadists, where are your politicians, Obas & Oni?
My point is Buhari has betrayed the Yorubas 100 times of what ever you guys felt Jonathan did & you guys are keeping quiet.
YOU GUYS SHOULD ENLIGHTEN YOURSELVES & STOP FORMING SOPHISTICATED. Because now you guys are at the receiving end of Buhari's madness[s][/s].

Just shvt ur mouth, where are u when Yoruba voted for Jonathan in 2011? We voted against him in 2015 and so be it, we still stand with our decisions, carry ur fake love and concern to ur tribe.

These fulani terrorists cannot call their brother out or ask him to resign as the president but will have the guts to ask a Yoruba governor to resign. Wonders shall never end. Na the Yorubas want such insults.

when people say a governor is a chief security officer: does that mean he control all the state police and other security agencies? you guys should stop saying they are chief security officer...? Buhari controls all the officers that carries gun. if a state police is enacted into law, then we cn call them CSO

If I get your write-up, you are blaming Yoruba for voting for their choice against your wish.

You claimed they don't vote for Jonathan because of the region he's from?, And when do you become the mouth piece for the Yoruba's ?

And when do you have the meeting with the Yoruba's whereby they told you such words?

You can choice to vote for who ever suit you irespective of the region, but your believes.

Must they vote for Jonathan simply because you have trust in him and that he's from your region, when others don't see any reason for such?

I think you should try and grow up then trying to create irrelevant post.

Personally I don't vote for Jonathan and still don't regret it as during his tenure Nigeria witness lots of economy meltdown, and lots of more.... and that's why people voted him out, so why writing beautiful nonsense? Or are you saying he was a good man as I don't really get your point, and why you wrote this in the first place.

Have they called for his resignation over the insecurity caused by Boko haram, bandits and herdsmen?

they keep dragging this same issue as if something good came out if Jonathan regime security wise, oga Jonothan was a man in woman wrapper but Buhari who most of us think he would fill up the vacuum came and worsen the case.

Jonathan was not competent same as blBuhari who is far more worse.

It seems like we are blessed with evil people who kept tipping evil people for us to vote them as our leaders, it looks like a curse or jinx to me

Arewa in Yoruba language means beauty

If you are truly Yoruba you would know that

Igbá means Calabash
Igbá means time
Igbá means 200
Igbá means garden egg

Though they are written the same way. They sound differently and mean different things.

Arewa of Cow lovers and cow worshippers doesn't mean Arewa the beautiful one in Yoruba.

Affirmatively. I remembered how they trooped out to the streets of Lagos protesting against the then government in power. Sadly, all the names you mentioned have gone mute and suddenly lost their voices.

Kanu: In this life, if you support evil, evil will come back to you.

Kanu's assertion further explains the untold woes and agony of Yorubas in the hands of marauding Fulani herdsmen recently which can't be redeemed without a brutal resistance.

Nice analysis. You have made your point, just ignore the Yorubas and move on. These people are filled with hatred towards other southerners, they want to be the only southern region that begets the president while others worship them.

Yorubas would die in their thousands before Buhari leaves power, they would keep mute because they want drug baron Tinubu to become president so that other tribes in the south would worship them.

It didn't take long for the famous Northern Hypocrisy to rear it's head again.

How come they have no called on Buhari to resign when this is the worst state of insecurity in Nigeria since the civil war?

How come they have not called out the terrorist herdsmen and condemned their actions?

They admitted that there might be some criminal elements among the Fulani, just like any other tribe. I hate to generalize but which other tribe has terrorised Nigerians all over the country in the name of furthering their agenda?

Like someborry from Scotland telling a County Mayor in England to resign.

Well, southern military generals in the AFRC slept as Arewa used northern military dictators to create too many states and local government areas in Arewa, this gave Arewa too much political advantages in Nigeria.

Southern politicians now look forward to Arewa for what Nigeria can be.

Where have these idiotic ragheads been all these years that their kinsmen have been killing, maiming and raping Nigerians. Every Oba in Yorubaland should declare war on any herdsmen roaming their domains. Capture them, clandestinely bury them alive, and feed the community with their cows. End of story. After all, Buratai, clandestinely reportedly killed Southern officers on the eve of his retirement and is being compensated by the idiot called Buhari.
