The Administrator, Grace Schools, Gbagada, Lagos, Mrs. Tokunbo Edun, has said that success factors including hard work, diligence and discipline being inculcated in the pupils of the school are responsible for the enviable performance of the school in national and international examinations.

Edun said this while reviewing the performance of the school's pupils who participated in the last Cambridge O/Level examinations conducted by the Cambridge University, United kingdom.

In the last result, the school Head Boy, Olufemi Olusanya had 4As*(with asterik), 2A's and 2B's while the Head Girl, Victoria Oduneye also had 2A*, 2B's and A* in Principles of Accounting.

Several pupils also had distinctions in core subjects.

Edun said that the overall performance for the school was outstanding, adding that the performance of the pupils in key subjects was exemplary.

She added that the school would not rest on its oars but would rather improve on qualitative teaching and learning.

"We will continue to invest in good learning facilities in order to bring out the best in our pupils. We will also continue to equip our teachers with the requisite training and skills needed to nurture our pupils to global excellence," she said.

Edun, who charged educational administrators to raise the bar of academic excellence in their schools, noted that the location of a school would not determine the academic success of pupils.

What would enhance performance, she noted, include staff motivation, provision of adequate teaching and learning facilities, enforcement of disciple and dedication to duty by all stakeholders.

"This is what we have been doing here and the Cambridge examination results and other enviable performance of our pupils in other examinations have attested to our commitment to producing highly rated pupils," she added. .

Edun also restated the schools' commitment to providing complete and quality education with a view to turning out well-groomed scholars that would contribute to national development.
