This is a blatant lie and a deliberate excuse to continue undermining the integrity of our electoral process. What are they transmitting that cannot be transmitted from anywhere on earth. Even live matches are transmitted live via OB vans. What happens to Mini portable VSAT technology that can carry transmission via satellite. This is really absurd and ridiculous.

Hehehe.

But you have money to build a useless railway to Niger republic.

They should continue to give useless excuse. Their footsoldiers AKA zoombies will soon come out to defend them.

you people should try and show that you went to school. Is it the government that is responsible for rolling out 3g networks?

How are the card readers working

How are Nigerians posting details of Polling Unit Results after elections

This is not even the issue...even, if just 30% is functional, allow the electronic transmission of those 30%...Let Transmission be the sole decision of INEC..not NCC or House of Rep!!

We are really finished in this Country.

The voice of the people does not count in Nigerian Democracy. I pity this country because the devils and beasts that hold this country to the ground are many and Only God will flush them out. I pray they all die miserably. What nonsense is this? Would you say because there is no adequate network in your village then mobile banking is practicably impossible? O God! flush them out, the enemies of this Nation must not have their way in Jesus' name. Amen.

I see no reason why the electronic option shouldn't still be used at least to serve as a checkmate against the manual result. Once the devices get to network areas, they will automatically be able to upload/send result to server. Let it be used as a back up or checkmate against the manual result and they can easily compare results. If you totally discard this electronic means then the old tampering can keep happening

don't mind them , INEC has facilities in each LGA of Nigeria with network access.
Even as of now, once voting ends the PO who is in charge of the SCR uploads the data to INEC's server. If there is no network at the polling unit, the PO is instructed to send it once he reaches the lga collation centre (network service is available).

Nigerian leaders will never change a system benefiting them, all the did and what this amendment is about is increasing the money a politician can spend during campaigns

Big lie , corruption has always been in ur midst that' why u don't want to use electronic devices to do election
Re: NCC: We Don’t Have adequate Coverage For Electronic Transmission Of Results by ITbomb(m): 12:55pm On Jul 16, 2021
You are supposed to capture the results in your handheld device, once you get to the collation centre, it upload automatically because there is network in all the 774,000 LGA headquarters in Nigeria.

We know what to do, we just don't want to do it

And you mean you can get it ready in 2 years? What sort of ridiculous mentality is this? A voter can register and be captured electronically but it's impossible to get him to vote electronically, big shame.

Calculate the cost to travel to State headquarters or Abuja And the cost to reach Area with network coverage.

It is even better that the device is sent to Abuja than allowing paper.

The rate at which figure change from polling units to collections centres is worrisome

Sometimes one can't help but wonder
NGOs in the country who mostly work in the remote areas (villages) employ the use of ICT4D in making their work easier, faster and even more accurate
This things capture the date, time and even the geocoordinate of the location. When you upload this data (in this case electoral result) , it sends with or without network but only gets to deliver when the device is taken into an area with network coverage. If the results are going to be transmitted manually, the returning officer still has to get to the INEC office/town which always has network coverage.

Why can't we just go both?
Why do we always make mountains out of molehills?
