Which Jewish slave traders there were only British and Portugese in Nigeria

The trans-Atlantic slave trade was established and sanctioned by the very corrupt catholic church when on May 3rd, 1493 Pope Alexander VI gave the approval to Spain and Portugal to start the trade-in Negro slaves from the West African coast, That is why I laugh when our people eulogize the catholic and Anglican churches not knowing that these people are the source of all our headaches in Africa..........they twisted the Bible verses and gospel to fit their wicked plans. The fake Hebrew or the so-called Ashkenazi Jews in Europe financed and insured the Portuguese slave-trading shipping companies that conducted the evil trade.

The most important question is, which airline would be prepared to run direct flights from say Abuja or Lagos to Ebonyi Airport? Which traffic would justify such a decision by any airline? Lol.

Assuming there is a wealthy Ebonyi person who owns or sets up an airline and wants to force the issue we can understand a bit. Anambra has Air Peace for starters, which is already Nigeria's biggest airline. I trust Anambra men. By this Christmas Allen Onyema would have started running daily flights from Lagos/Abuja to Umuleri, with or without full capacity - even if it means diverting traffic from Asaba and Enugu. That's the thing.

Of course the Ebonyi governor isn't stupid. He knows the airport project is a dead end white elephant. But as a smart and greedy Nigerian politician, the project is a superb opportunity to steal public funds.

You said it all aptly. Lemme add that Anambra international airport will be the busiest in Nigeria aside Abuja, Lagos and maybe PH.

Ebonyi case is a total waste of resources, like you said, who would use the airport? Which airline would wanna waste resources on empty plane flying to ebonyi? Umahi is just a busy body.

Not that I trust Dave Umahi, but all these talks about Ebonyi international airport not being viable are misplaced, because international airports are totally different sets of animal from local airports.
The target of international airports are INTERNATIONAL TRAFFIC.
Now, there are thousands of ways an international airport can be made viable.
It all depends on the ingenuity of the whole strategic plan behind it.
Ebonyi has large expanse of land waiting for development of all kinds of business and economic infrastructure: tourism, industrial, medical infrastructure, educational infrastructure, pure commerce, etc.
All these can be planned to target FOREIGN and local investors from other parts of Nigeria.
If Dubai can become a world "go-to" destination with all the natural obstacles it has, Ebonyi can shoot for the heavens with this airport.
But the vision and plan has to be ingenious.
All these are assuming that Dave Umahi is honest, and has noble intentions.
Kudos to Ebonyi state, from nwa Anambra! cool

Yes you are correct there was massive trans-Saharan slave trade which preceded the Atlantic slave trade by hundreds of years, many of the victims were also our people especially the igalas and idomas..........this particular trade was conducted by the Fulanis, touraegs and even the Hausa kingdoms. On the east coast of Africa, there was also the trans-Indian ocean slave trade as well perpetrated by Arabs and Somalis.............

Now with an open mind go read the whole Deuteronomy chapter 28 in context and then relate it to the suffering of the negroid Africans in West Africa and the Bantus of south and east Africa! this will reveal to you who God's chosen people truly are, go ahead and read psalm 83 to know who are the true enemies of God's people.

Why don't they develop these infrastructures first and get it working? Why rush to build airport first?

AntiBalaka:
Ebonyi, from old Latin meaning 'black wood'.

Ebony is the anglicized version of Ebonyi.

The region referred to as Ebonyi today in present day Nigeria was a hunting ground for Jewish slave traders who dealt with the Arochukwu slave raiders.

The Jewish slave traders described their cargo as black wood which were piled up against each other side-by-side in the hauls of their slave ships.

Meeen!

Why don't they develop these infrastructures first and get it working? Why rush to build airport first?

Because that is not how these things work...

To build those infrastructure first would be anachronistic, because they would all die before the state gets to the stage of building the airport.
That is why places like Tinapa died. There was no serious effort to upgrade Calabar to REAL international airport first. Margaret Ekpo "international" airport is an eye-sore.
How would you transport INTERNATIONAL BUSINESS and INTERESTS to those facilities after building them, if you don't have a world-class International airport beckoning them?
The airport is THE CATALYST that would trigger the development of other associated world-class venues to be enjoyed by prospective international (and some local) interests: tourists, businessmen, academics, investors, etc.
In some ways Akwa-Ibom is making the same mistake by following your model, while not doing much to boost international traffic at the Ibom airport there.
International airports are no longer just places for boarding flights alone. They are the greatest declaration to the world that you are open and serious about international business.
