forgiveness:

Lagos State alone has employed more than that not to talk of other states.

SWners are not controlling any company. Is that not what you want to hear?

You made it look like they do

BUT DO U KNOW THAT SOUTH WEST WITHOUT EXPERIENCING A WAR,HAS THE HIGHEST NUMBER OF BROWN ROOFS AND MUD HOUSES IN AFRICA DUE TO POVERTY.

I believe you are so jobless you counted all the brown roofs in Africa and then came to that conclusion.

Hopefully, you'll get a job before the end of 2021, even if it is wheelbarrow pushing so that you don't go around counting houses with brown roofs.

If we have our own nation the money will disappear

IGR is flowing because of Nigerian unity i e head offices of companies are in Lagos while there factories might be located in another state, banks head offices are in Lagos, ports etc these are institutions serving the whole Nigeria but based in Lagos. If Nigeria split relocation and disintegration will make south west loose that opportunity. Our political elites know better that's why they will never support Yoruba nation

You can only make this assertions because you don't know much if history, which won't be your fault as history is no longer taught in schools in Nigeria.

You should understand that before the advent of the white man on the shores on Yorubaland, all of Yorubaland was bustling with trade and commerce. We traded with even non Yorubas, Hausas and even the Portuguese.

Some people will like you to believe that Yorubas were sitting on their hands before they started coming to live in our midst simpky because they are known more for small scale trading.

You don't have your nation, yet money is disappearing to Abuja and y'all seem to be ok with that.

Head offices of companies are in Lagos for a reason and that's not the reason Lagos is viable. Besides, Lagos is not the only place in Yorubaland.

Having a nation we can call our own means we can decide the direction of our collective destiny as a people and instead of having Lagos as the only successful state, we can work on getting other areas viable too.

How do you do that when all your governors are going cap-in-hand to Abuja every month for allocation?

The only region that losing the most is Yorubaland.

We are losing economically as our cities are getting over-bloated without a corresponding rise in IGR as most people flooding in are without skills.

We are losing culturally as we can't even enforce our language in our schools because we have to integrate people.

We are also losing culturally because the unity in Yorubaland that was supposed to have kick-started after our own civil war was truncated when we, a nation in our own right, were amalgamated with hundreds of other nations in a dysfunctional union.

We are losing security wise because of the useless federal architecture operating in Nigeria.

We are losing infrastructurally as we can't even develop electricity in Yorubaland because the constitution forbids it.

We need more people to canvass for restructuring. Already Wike has started on the path to fiscal federalism, which is also restructuring. Thank God Lagos State has followed suit, hopefully more states especially SW started would follow too. States should have control over their resources, education, security, economy etc.

babaolofin:

The report is not fair to Bayelsa which is my adopted State. Until restructuring is done, Bayelsa cannot be fairly treated. Bayelsa is a State on the Ocean. I think only one Local government is on the mainland, the rest is on Island. Infrastructure is needed to link the local government together.

Norway's case is not applicable to Bayelsa. Norway population is less than Lagos Mainland but she makes more money from fishing than what Nigeria is making from crude oil. Norway has more oil than Nigeria, but not relying on oil. Bayelsa is not an independent State, rather, it is an exploited State in Nigeria.
