Funny thing is most of the medical sciences have a quota of 50 as required by the different professional bodies but schools will admit way above that for personal gains and start chopping off students and transferring them to less competitive departments.

They might even admit 1000 students but they know that what they need isn't more than 30 or less with backlogs of student either repeating the year or resitting the exam and everything for that level must sum up to 50.

True but the beautiful thing is that the 50 needed in the next level is up for grab for anyone... so, survival of the fittest. Anyone can slot their name amongst the 50. You can not be failed, if you pass well...

The funny thing about this mass failure is
that after graduation and service to ur country, nobody considers the school u went. Bsc is Bsc,HND is HND so what is the essence of failing them. In other part of the country people are been pleaded to attend school. Still after we all we face the same labour market and govt appointment is tilted favouring some of them. So I asked again, what is essence of this mass failure?

Probably u are indomie generation. ABU, UNN, OAU and Unilag are in the same level. They were created almost at the same time. Only UI is created above them and that's why it's called premier university. Google is Ur friend young man

UNN has the highest quota is Medical science in Nigeria ..and only those who meets the requirements should go to other departments

This school in particular find joy in failing students.
Remember one type like that either Archaeology or history department not even 5% of the class pass a GSP exam when the result was submitted their HOD rejected it. This also happened in foreign language department sometime ago and the lecturer has to reset the exam for a retake.

Hmmm one lecturer was singing personally by the Okeye's during his exam and guess what he knew other departments fixed exam same day but the time space wasn't much but he stubbornly fixed his own exam making it three papers. Students were crying instead he was busy singing personally I go deal with you. My sister and her friends came back after the exam crying cause they have to run from one exam hall to the other.
