The Governor’s position is weak thanks to the way the Federal System is operated in Nigeria and the Governor knows it hence he is technically pleading.

Agreed, he is the CSO of the State, but he need that same Inspector General of Police’s bless to retain his security details, he knows that one phone call all the Police giving him security will withdraw to the barracks, so he need to be careful.

Hence the argument for State Police and decentralization of power from the Center to Stated or regions, that is the only the way the Federal System.
