These Hyundai people don tire me. Shey the guy said he had found the problem? Now the car is even worse than ever. Before, it would buck when accelerating but now it is dragging back like it wont move. So frustrating. The annoying part was that i had to fight with them cos they said it was no longer under warranty. Is there any help from guys?

What it is not;
1. Bad ignition coil
2. Bad fuel pump
3. Bad fuel injector
4. Not error codes
5. throttle sensor problem

and others that i can not recall.

A fuel injector is person in charge for injection a precis amount of fuel directly in an engine Roll during convey operation. The quantity of fuel that is injected by each one fuel injector is based on engine speed, engine the temperature and drive conditions. much times a bad fuel injector inject too much fuel in a vehicle's engine, a condition that wastes gasoline and causes a reduction in convey gas mileage. If one fuel injector Fact this, the effects are minimal; if all of a vehicle's fuel injectors to function similarly, convey gas mileage is severely impacted.

Leaky Fuel Injector
Many periods a fuel injector develop cracks in its power control body or housing that to leave fuel to Escape outward of the fuel injector and to filter down on various engine parts, majority notably on the engine Catch manifold or engine valve cover assemblies. Moreover being a source of wasted engine fuel, a condition that unfavourably affects convey gas mileage, a permeable fuel injector can cause an engine fire if enough fuel escapes out on the hot engine surface and ignites.

Engine Hesitation
A fuel injector is person in charge for injection a predetermined quantity of engine fuel in an engine cylinder, otherwise known as a combustion chamber. For an engine to run effectively and smoothly, all of its engine cylinders to have to fire, or combust, properly, and adapted cylinder combustion is depending on adapted fuel delivery, which is depending on adapted fuel injector performance. A bad fuel injector prevent normal fuel delivery in an engine cylinder, one or the other delivering too much fuel or too little, both of which can cause an engine to hesitate, or stumble, during acceleration.

Rough Engine Idle
By impeding normal fuel delivery in a vehicle's engine cylinder, a bad fuel injector can cause an engine to idle rough or erratically. If a bad fuel injector replacements between delivery too much fuel and too little fuel during the cours of normal convey engine operation, a rough engine idle is normally the result due to the chaotic fuel flow in the affected engine cylinder. By contrast, a smooth, regular engine idle require a constant, regular flow of fuel in each engine cylinder.

Exhaust Smoke
Many periods a bad fuel injector cause a convey to to emit black smoke of its exhaust pipe during engine operation. If a bad fuel injector leave too much fuel to to enter one of the engine cylinders, a commun run situation with a bad, or faulty, fuel injector unit, the air/fuel mix ratio, the report/ratio of gasoline and air that an engine burns to product power, become too rich, which can cause black exhaust smoke as well as engine execution problems and reduced convey gas mileage.

Madam, after extensive research on Hyundai cars, it has become clear that TRANSMISSION SLIPPAGE a common to Hyundais. Unfortunately, the signs for this problem is very similar to many other issues like the ones Fhemmmy has detailed.

Hyundai Transmission Slippage Symptoms

Transmission Shifting on its Own
One of the signs of a slipped transmission on a Hyundai is when the gear shifts on its own to a lower gear than the one engaged. In particular, owners of the Hyundai Accent have reported this symptom as a problem. Other drivers have complained that while driving in a set gear, it will shift to the lowest gear on its own while the vehicle is moving. Moreover, it's been reported that after shifting to a lower gear, the driver is unable to shift to another gear. On such occasions, drivers have temporarily resolved the problem by turning the engine off then restarting it. However, once the vehicle restarts and is running, the problem usually recurs.

Jerking
Another symptom of a slipped transmission in a Hyundai is jerking while driving. Again, this has commonly been reported in the Hyundai Accent. This can happen even when the gears are not in use. This jerking usually continues until the car reaches a lower RPM at which point the jerking lessens but doesn't fully subside. In some cases, this has happened after the troublesome transmission was changed and the new transmission put in place. The jerking usually prevents the car from accelerating and driving faster than 20 MPH.

Bucking While in Overdrive
Bucking is another sign that the transmission could be slipping. When this happens, it causes the vehicle to speed up and slow down without effort from the driver. On such occasions, the RPM usually shoots up erratically. In some cases, this problem has surfaced just two years after purchase.

This the only other thing that can be the problem.

This may be IT! The RPM does that and i did not think it was part of the problem. In fact, the speedometer does the same. Will let them know and then get back to you.

Madam good luck, I hope this is the problem. You have tried on this car. If it makes you feel better, you are not alone. The consumer complaint section for Hyundai is full of complain on this issues and how the Mechanics, even the ones from the Hyundai dealership can not find the problem immediately.

Video Transcript

Generally speaking, when you're talking about a slipping transmission, you're talking about an automatic.

There are clutch bands in an automatic transmission that grip the various gear sets to transfer power from the engine to the wheels. If these bands do not have enough force to grip down tightly enough, they will slip and you will get various problems, most notably the vehicle will have difficulty accelerating.

When you step on the gas, you might see the tachometer increase in speed, but the vehicle speed itself doesn't increase. The vehicle might not move at all if the bands are loose enough.

Now there are several causes for this. There could be something as simple as not enough fluid in the transmission so that it's unable to create the hydraulic pressure necessary to engage the bands.

There also could be blockages in the valve body or in the various fluid passages in the transmission that could be keeping it from engaging properly.

The bands themselves could just be worn. In which case they need to be adjusted or replaced, and the solenoids that engage the bands could be failing or failed and not able to engage the bands themselves.

I forgot to add my own two cents on the Auto Security Topic.

Car Security is not only about keeping your car safe, it is also about keeping yourself safe. Here are some tricks some thieves can use to ambush you and steal your car. So be extra vigilant and cautious when you are confronted with the following scenarios

CAR SECURITY: Car Safety Tips - AMBUSHES

Phony Good Samaritan

Examples
Returning to her parked car, a woman found it with a flat tire. As she began replacing it with a spare, a Good Samaritan passerby insisted on helping. The Good Samaritan used the tire-iron to knock the woman unconscious and steal her wallet and car. Guess who had deflated the tire and waited for her?

At an interstate rest stop, a man told a woman something was leaking from her car, then forced her into the back of the vehicle and violated her.

Phony-Victim-Needing-Help:

Examples
A woman stopped her car at a stop sign when a young man staggered in front of her car and seemed to fall unconscious. She got out to help and he robbed her.

The Good Samaritan was parking outside a store when James Walton asked him for help. He agreed to drive him to his disabled car to jump-start it. A few blocks away, James Walton punched the Good Samaritan and stole his car.

Bump-and-Rob
a car bumps yours in order to get you to pull over to "file an accident report." One early tip-off of a crime-in-progress is if his car is trying to barricade yours from leaving.

If you’re not sure, open your window no more than a quarter-inch to give him a paper with your name and car's license plate number – only. Do not hand him any of your paperwork. Do not open your door no matter what.

Or, simply signal him to follow you, then turn on your flashing hazard lights and drive slowly to an active public area where you can phone the police.

Force-Over:
If a Bump-and-Rob doesn’t work, the more brazen robbers may grow frustrated and simply force your car off the road. “Drive to Survive” author Curt Rich advises for car security that if you must jump a curb, do so at an angle. Or quickly back up to escape. Otherwise, simply get all your passengers out and give up your car and money.

A driver in Harrisburg PA slammed on his brakes to avoid hitting a baby carriage that rolled in front of him and struck the carriage lightly with his car. He got out to check and found no baby inside. He then felt what he assumed was a firearm pressed into his back and was ordered to hand over his wallet
.

Blockade:
Any obstacle (whether trashcan, vehicle, baby carriage, or “pedestrian”) blocking your path allows criminals to trap you. A baby carriage is especially devious to shock and draw you out of your car. If at all possible to control your shock, stay in your car while calling police on your cell phone. And keep scanning your surroundings for suspicious activity before even thinking of getting out of your car to render aid.

If it’s a trashcan or vehicle blockade, again, for car security, jump a curb or back up to escape. If two cars block you from front and rear (and suspicious activity begins), ram back and forth until you can escape. Otherwise, simply get all your passengers out and give up your car and money. . .Don't try to be a HERO!!!

Eggs-on-Windshield:
If eggs are smashed on your windshield while you're driving, do NOT operate the wiper or wiper/spray. The wiper will only make the mess worse by smearing it; the wiper/spray will mix water and egg into a milky goo that fully blocks your vision. Then you're forced to stop and become a victim of robbers. Instead, just drive away. If you need to, stick your head out the window to see ahead until you get to a gas station to clean your windshield.

Hitchhikers:

Scott Eizember was hitchhiking on a rainy day in Arkansas when Dr. Samuel Peebles and his wife picked him up. Eizember pulled a handgun, beat them and stole their van. He'd already murdered another couple earlier.

For car security, do not pick up any hitchhiker - and remember that 13 percent of armed robbers are female.

REMAIN SAFE!!!

ENGINE IMMOBILIZER - WHAT IS IT AND IS IT RIGHT FOR YOU?

What Is An Engine Immobilizer?

An engine immobilizer is a device which prevents the starter from activating unless a special microchip is within range. Some engine immobilizing devices require the microchip to be inside a key inserted in the ignition, while others simply need it to be within a certain radius. In most cases, the microchip is embedded inside the key or a device on the keychain.

How Does It Work?

An engine immobilizer consists of several devices that work together to operate correctly. Inside the key, a microchip emits a signal which is activated by an electromagnetic field. The key transmits a binary code that is unique, which can then be read by the car’s ECU (Engine Control Unit). If the signal is a correct match, the ECU will permit fuel to flow, and the engine to start up. If the car is attempted to be started with a key without a microchip, or if it is “hot-wired”, the engine won’t turn on.

Immobilizer Add-On Units

Even if your vehicle doesn’t have an engine immobilizer, you can purchase an add-on unit. Installing an engine immobilizer will often make you eligible for an insurance credit and/or discount, if you purchase the correct model. For a self-arming immobilizer, an insurance approved unit will intercept at least two circuits (usually the fuel pump circuit and the low-voltage ignition circuit). It’s best if you contact your insurance company to obtain a list of approved engine immobilizers.

Should I Get An Engine Immobilizer?

The easy answer to this question is yes, since an engine immobilizer is a great way to protect your vehicle from being stolen. However, there are several things you need to consider. Since the micro-chipped key you will be using to start your car is unique, it can be very expensive to replace. Some of these keys can cost from $300 – $800 to replace, depending on the system installed in your car. In addition to this, if the microchip becomes damaged, you will not be able to start your car (though some systems have safeguards to prevent this from happening). If your car doesn’t have an immobilizer installed, there is also the cost of the unit to consider – usually from $100 – $500. Essentially, the choice to purchase an engine immobilizer depends on the model of your car, your budget and the existing security features in your vehicle.

Technology has improved greatly across nearly every aspect of everyday life. One of the areas which has seen significant development is the security features designed for today’s automobiles.

Auto theft remains a significant problem. More than 1.2 million vehicles are stolen each year in the U.S. Many of those are never recovered, or are found damaged.
Re: Fhemmy Motors Presents: Auto Security Tips *Video Attached* by Fhemmmy: 8:19pm On Sep 09, 2011
New autos today come with a wide variety of security systems, such as immobilizers, to prevent theft and lower car insurance quotes. These can prevent criminals from starting a vehicle or even help authorities quickly locate a stolen vehicle.
Re: Fhemmy Motors Presents: Auto Security Tips *Video Attached* by Fhemmmy: 10:09pm On Sep 09, 2011
Automakers respond to needs

The constant improvements allow for automakers to include extra protection for models which are often targeted by thieves.

For example, a report from the Highway Loss Data Institute said the Cadillac Escalade had the highest rate of theft from 2008 to 2010, as thieves continued to target the high-end SUVs.

On the same day the results of the study were released, General Motors announced that four new security features were included in the design of the 2012 Escalade, including alarms that would be triggered if criminals tried to load it onto a truck and a wheel lock to prevent the theft of its rims and tires.
Re: Fhemmy Motors Presents: Auto Security Tips *Video Attached* by Fhemmmy: 10:06pm On Sep 10, 2011
Better security creates insurance discounts

Because the new security features reduce the chances a vehicle will be stolen – lowering the risk for insurance companies – those looking for auto insurance quotes on them may find they qualify for significant discounts.

The newest security methods to reduce theft include advanced vehicle recovery systems, which can allow authorities to track a theft in progress and even force the vehicle to slow down as police approach it.

Another security technique – VIN etching – allows for the car’s unique vehicle identification number to be imprinted on the windows and doors the vehicle. That makes a vehicle much less appealing to professional thieves, since they know the numbers must be removed before the car is resold.

The actual discount will vary based on the company and the level of security involved, so it is important to shop around to find the lowest insurance rates. However, some insurers say drivers could see their premium for comprehensive coverage – the part of the policy which covers theft – drop by 25 percent or more.
