FG set conditions for Twitter. No response from Twitter. FG delegates went to US over Twitter ban. No response from Twitter. FG announced Twitter has met conditions. No response from Twitter. FG restored Twitter access. No response from Twitter. Nigerians are using Twitter. No response from Twitter. What has FG or Nigeria or Nigerians gained from banning Twitter? Nothing. Has Twitter Revenue reduced? No. 7 Likes 1 Share |

seunmsg: Twitter will not open any office in Nigeria, stop being fooled. FG does not have the Political power to force a US publicly trading company to trade local in other to serve its clients. It is solely at the discretion of the company to do so, based on their own analysis. Yes they’re bound to remit taxes to the Nigerian FG, but that is basics. As a matter of fact, Nigeria as the largest black nation has been missing out on collecting foreign taxes because we lack precise tax laws. Otherwise, companies like Alibaba are also supposed to be remitting same to the FG because of the amount of Nigerian purchasing power on the platform. But we’re yet to get to that. 5 Likes |

you think you're chatting with someone willing to have a decent conversation or someone willing to analyze issues based on merits? for the backend portal, everybody in the world had that access before now - knowing that our government is dumb, they showed them how to report or request for data a d the govt called it a win. on opening office in Nigeria, Twitter has been considering expansion into Africa starting with their office in Ghana since Nigeria is not worthy, a lil protest frm the govt would have forced them to. The ban was utterly ridiculous and nothing was achieved by the govt whatsoever 3 Likes |

seunmsg: Twitter will open which office in which Nigeria? Dem don put all of una inside bottle finish with lies. They will not open any office in any Nigeria, and you mumus will never think to ask because zombeism is what you do. By the time people with clear head ask about this imaginary office, we will be in the thick of election fever and it will not matter. There will be no office. No condition was met or agreed to. FG just wasted their time and the people's money with petty nonsense. The only reason they have lifted this ban is because election is coming and they want to use it to campaign for that senile old man. TVC and Lagos newspapers will not be sufficient for all the propaganda APC and Tinubu campaign want to spill. We know what is going on here, we're not idiots. 9 Likes 3 Shares |

ASPIREX: Passion is contagious and that’s what interaction does without Twitter businesses had no frontline communication with the world people couldn’t report the dangerous situations that were happening. Many people made money on twitter promoting artists , goods and services or even shows except if you had vpn you couldn’t work and most of all during the holidays extra sale etc more people used billboards which were good but how many could afford to go anywhere or even eat. Twitter is like 911 I used to see breaking news or if people had failed bank transaction that public awareness allowed the bank to actually work on it. I know when you expose what’s going on they mark you etc but I just have one question for anyone in life did you pave the way or frustrate the day ? |

So FG says Twitter ban was lifted because they AGREED to some conditions not because they MET those conditions. Isn’t it interesting that FG, not Twitter, has been the one giving news about the ban. Twitter (whom it concerns because they have not been making money from Nigerians) has kept quiet. Please when Twitter opens office in Lagos, tell me. FG was just afraid that opposition would campaign on the platform unopposed. They didn’t want to cede that playing field. A service the government labelled as dangerous to the unity of the country was unbanned just because of election campaign. 1 Like |

amnesty7: Many people don't make use of their brains rationally. When you see a mad man carrying a bag containing dollars he picked up from somewhere, you don't need to start dragging it from him. If you do dat, he will bring you down to his level of madness and make you look like a mad man. All you will do is to deceive him by giving him another thing he may need It may be pack of food with juice. While accepting this, he may release the bag of money to you. This was just what happened between Nigeria and Twitter. Nigeria is Twitter's customer, so they just pretended as if they are weak just to get what they want and not that Nigerian government is not a push over. What Twitter did is the same thing you will do if you are a business man that was visited by a money spinning customer. The customer will shout and reck, u will just be romancing his ego until he drops his money wt u. |
