PDP AND THE ROAD TO PERDITION.

Perfidy is the word. Dishonesty, injustice and insensitivity are the hallmarks of the current attitude of the PDP towards its own established policy of fairness and its celebrated mantra for equity and justice in the sharing of political offices through ZONING between the North and the south of the country.

This zoning policy had guaranteed stability and entrenched sense of belonging and equity within our polity. The efficacy of the zoning principle is so self evident that even rival political parties have adopted it as a political tool to ensure fairness and justice among their own membership.

For the avoidance of doubt, if muslim/Muslim or christian/ Christian Presidential tickets will not work in Nigeria, so will a northern President from any party, following an uninterrupted 8year rule by the current Predident, not work in 2023

But if the PDP, based on any presumptive consideration, choose the perilous and clearly unjust and inequitable path of throwing the Presidential ticket at its primaries open to all zones, then the PDP will finally through an unforced error have activated a self destruct political app and would have commenced an irreversible journey to Perdition.

Hehehe.

The two main political parties in Nigeria are not serious. This is indeed a time where a third force is needed.

With the disunity going on in APC and PDP, a third force could easily win this election.

Every Sane people knows this very well. There is nothing good from a party that ruled and stole for 16 years and nothing to show.

Now they are about going back with desperation, cheat and injustice amongst themselves

I never knew the meaning of PERDITION until now. I had to check my dictionary.
For people like me: Perdition means: state of eternal punishment and damnation into which a sinful and unrepentant person passes after death.
Thank you Nairaland.

Doyin talking from one side, deji talking from the other side......PDPiss is really a useless party.....APC is useless in it's own right but PDP institutionalized corruption and built the rotten foundation of this current republic.... basically achieving nothing in the 16+ years of being in power yet the mofos act like they're better off.

The calculation for 2023 is very simple, if APC fields a candidate from the south, it will amount to political suicide for PDP to also field a candidate from the south. the reason is simple - The APC already has a stranglehold on the north and arguably the south west, propping up a southern candidate will do very little to break it. For PDP to win the 2023 election, they have to get a lot of northern votes and also reduce APC's share of northern votes. They are already guaranteed votes from the south-south and south-east. What many have failed to learn from the 2019 election is that the north does not vote based on party sentiments, they vote individuals. the results from adamawa, sokoto, bauchi and kano in presidential as against the governorship elections should tell the full story . The perfect combo for the PDP will be a northern Presidential candidate and a VP candidate from the South South or South East. Preferably from the south south as i dont foresee the south east producing a lot of votes due to the high level of voter apathy currently been experienced in the region.

Every body knows the right thing to do, it is only fair for another region to produce the president after a northerner just finished his tenure......but greed, won't allow many admit this, yet we keep shouting one nigeria undecided undecided,

Is Dr Okupe waiting for PDP to announce decision on zoning before purchasing Presidential form ?
Re: "PDP And The Road To Perdition" By Dr Doyin Okupe by IamNat: 1:06pm On Mar 18, 2022
Why must other region step down for a region, we have always been shouting ZONING but there's never been a time when no one from other region contested against the region favoured by zoning, it is the duty of the region favored by zoning to convince other regions that they are capable and that they have what it takes, you don't command people to not contest because you feel it is your region that is favoured by zoning.

Who says a Muslim/Muslim or Christian/Christian ticket will not work in Nigeria. It has worked before and it can work again.

At the end, it's a game of numbers, Anyone reserves the right to choose whatever formula that gets them the needed number.

But these political miscreants will stop at nothing in playing religious and ethnic cards, meanwhile when they are sharing the nation's patrimony amongst themselves, they are one and united.

Both APC and PDP are way below par to lead this nation forward. Sadly, we are stuck with them.
Re: "PDP And The Road To Perdition" By Dr Doyin Okupe by eldoradoxx: 1:14pm On Mar 18, 2022
If it will take power returning to the North in 2023 for PDP to beat APC in the next election and end the plague of APC (synonymous with failure) , let every decent man and woman take it as a sacrifice we are to make to redeem this nation from the mistake we all made in 2015 bringing in APC to rule Nigeria, they are a bunch of visionless miscreants masquerading as democrats, we need to retire them or they retire Nigeria. Certainly as a Southerner, APC's best game is Tinubu whom no politicianbSouth of Nigeria in PDP can challenge. Mention one Southern politician that has the connection and reach of Tinubu to sway the North. But Tinubu will pray not to meet a strong Northerner like Atiku in the general election. The Northern political mindset is keen on voting anything North first in an election. They will vote their own over the APC candidate from the South (say Tinubu for instance). With this formula, next election is done and dusted and the plague of APC ends.
