Boko Haram Targets Aso Rock And Wants JTF Withdrawn by Abagworo(m): 12:06pm On Jul 14, 2011 |
From daring Boko Haram came a threat yesterday that the Islamic militants have listed the Presidential Villa, Abuja as target. Their spokesman, Mallam Abu Zaid, who spoke to journalists on phone in Maiduguri, Borno State yesterday, also called for the removal of troops of the Joint Task Force (JTF) troops from the state, maintaining that their presence was a sad tale for innocent people. http://sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2011/july/14/national-14-07-2011-001.html |

“We were surprised to hear the rumour that we are planning to attack the university. This to us is belittling and it is as if people are underrating us when we are aiming at the Aso Rock Villa,” |

Chuckles What gave you the impression that the President is sleeping? Do you think we are in a military govt where unilateral decisions and actions are taken? |

That mind all those who have accused the president concerning this immediate situation. They probably wants the president to declare war. We are living in a democratic society, even the soldiers wouldn't be late into this.the police would have been in position to maintain peace and orders ,but due to the fact that our police force are more active in 20 bucks collection and less active.the president has sent combine force. Nevertheless, we need to gather a lots of intelligent before more actions will be taken. I hope the security agencies ARE just working and gathering intelligent that will help in eradicating this cu rent hatred acts being sponsored by politicians. |

Two things: 1. I believe NEMA ought to have a contingency plan developed and filed for "emergency evacuation" out of troubled areas in each state of the Federation. It also need one for "refugee camping and care" to support temporary relocations of displaced victims. It should be mapped for each state as well. The map in both instances will include designated roads and areas for traffic flow and population control. 2. It seemed Gej miscalculated in his reaction to the Boko incident. He should have not brought the Army out without first declaring a state Of emergency for Maiduguri. All options and negotiations for dIalogue should precede declation of emergency. So by deploying soldiers as a first response, he gave control of the confrontation to Boko. As we see in this report, Boko is calling the shots. Pathetic!!! |

, their men carried out attacks on some banks in the state, adding that they were compelled to attack the banks because they were not operating within the precepts of Islam. “They are not working for the cause of the masses and they are not operating within the Islamic system, and we attacked them because we believe it is our right to do so,” he maintained. He vowed that the scet would continue to attack the banks. All those clamouring for Islamic banking, please think twice. |

I can tell you that the Nigerian Air Force has enough Alpha Jets and MiGs to take out these bastards. If we were in a military dispensation, they would have been taken out since. The problem is that we have a slow coach of leadership in the country who has not seen the need to stop this pacifist agenda and take the bull by the horn to start pounding the sh*t out of these Bokite bastards. |

Re: Boko Haram Targets Aso Rock And Wants JTF Withdrawn by Nobody: 4:06pm On Jul 14, 2011 |
GEJ should stop that sanusi of a chap with his islamic banking agenda. The problem with Islamic banking is not the system itself. It has worked in other countries. The problem is how those Islamic fundamentalists in the north would take its introduction. In the near future, no bank other than those operating Islamic banking would be able to operate in northern Nigeria. Many will have their buildings burnt down, staff intimidated and maybe killed. Soon we would have the normal banks+ Islamic ones in the south and ONLY the Islamic ones in the north. I begin to wonder what Sanusi is really up to. |

May I advise you all to read the latest report of Dr. Deji of Hui man Rights Watch on Nigerians Report http://www.nigeriansreport.com/2011/07/boko-haram-terrorism-threats-in-nigeria.html It is emphatic that the Boko Haram issue is far from being just a ‘northern’ phenomenon, but nationwide crisis. |

I want believe that now they (BH) have shift their cursor towards ASO rock maybe GEJ would wake up and do somethings about these people. |
Re: Boko Haram Targets Aso Rock And Wants JTF Withdrawn by Donmeca(m): 4:38pm On Jul 14, 2011 |
The military seem to have scored some point against BH. They want to use the removal of the JTF to regroup, plot and execute more attacks. The govt shud to give in to their demands even if they promise permanent ceasefire and ultimate surrender of arms. These guys are already afraid of the JTF, they have been badly bruised and need some kind of breathing space to regenerate. This is the time to crush them! A wounded snake bites with double venom. . . |
